Chapter 10:
We walked down to the parking lot and I slid down in the seat of Jake's Honda. He started driving to my house, but zoomed straight by.
"Um, Jake? That was my house, you know."
"I know. You said you didn't have any homework so I thought we could do something fun."
"What about my parents?" I asked.
"Oh, come on. They're out of town."
"Ava?"
"Texted her."
"My dogs?"
"Let's go pick them up."
"Fine." I said blandly, although I was excited and curious to see what Jake had planned.
We made a u-turn and stopped at my house. I jumped out of the car, and quickly turned back to grab my phone and house keys. I gave Jake a suspicious look before going into my house.
I walked into my living room and opened up the three kennels. My three dogs hopped out and started jumping on me. "Hey, hey. Calm down! Want to go for a ride?" I asked excitedly. This made them jump even more.
I put on their leopard print leashes (my mom was very prestigious about the dogs) and walked out to Jake's car. Jake smiled as I opened the car door.
"Are you sure dogs are allowed?" I asked.
"Yeah. He has four dogs and his girlfriend is bringing her two dogs. We are going to stop by my house and get my dog," Jake said that last sentence quickly.
"Wait, we are going to your house?"
"Just for a minute." he replied nervously.
"Alright." I smiled.
We arrived at Jake's house. It was a big house, but still a bit smaller than mine. Jake opened the door and walked inside his house. I expected him to walk out with a Doberman Pinscher or something. But, no. Jake walked out with a pink leash in his hand and a Lhasa Apso puppy trailing behind him.
I laughed out loud. This was quite possibly the funniest and the cutest thing I had ever seen.
"Haha, very funny. Keep laughing." Jake said.

Jake pulled into the circle drive of a huge mansion. I looked around and saw a pool in the backyard. It was an amazing pool, from what I could see. Did I bring a swimsuit?
We got out of the car with our four dogs and rang the door bell. Alex, one of Jake's new friends, opens the door.
"Jake, my man! And, Bea, right?"
"Yep." I replied.
Alex looked down at the dogs and asked me if they liked swimming. I told him they did, although I wasn't quite sure.
We walked in and took the leashes off of our dogs. Jake was right; three more dogs ran downstairs to greet us. A short girl with long blonde hair and blue eyes, who actually looked quite a bit like me, ran up.
"Hi, Bea. I'm Elise, Alex's girlfriend."
"Hi, Elise."
"Did you bring a swimsuit?" she asked sweetly.
"I didn't."
"Do you want to borrow one of mine? It looks like you would fit." Now that was a compliment, if I had ever heard one. Elise had to be like a 0, and I was too, but no one had really ever told me that.
"Please." I replied, thankful. We walked over to a cabinet and opened it up. There were about 15 swimsuits sitting there. They were all cute, and they were all my size. Bingo!
I picked out a strapless coral bikini. It had a fashionable zipper on the front of the top piece, and some random patterns on it. I put it on, and when I walked out of the bathroom, I looked almost like Elise's twin.
We walked outside to the pool. It really was amazing. It had a diving board, a slide, and a waterfall that you could ride on. There was a hot tub too. My dogs followed me outside and carefully sniffed the pool.
I hadn't been to a pool with a slide in a long time, so I did that first. Elise went down with me while Alex took a picture of us. I looked at the picture, and it was the best one I had ever seen. Our long blonde hair was flying, and we looked overjoyed.
Finally, we got in the pool. We talked for a while.
"Oh, Bea, I forgot to ask. What kind of dogs do you have?" Alex said.
"I have a poodle, her name is Coco. And that little white and brown turd is a rat terrier, Winston. The little white one is a Westie, Elsa."
"Elsa?" Jake gave me a disgusted look. "God I hate that movie."
"Well, good thing I was joking. Her name is Snow." I laughed.
Jake chased me around the pool until finally he grabbed my arm and pulled me to him. He picked me up and walked out of the pool. I was kicking and laughing. He put me on his back and walked up the ladder on to the slide.
This guy was strong.
He sat me down and sat behind me. It was getting darker outside. I saw that Alex's camera had been set up on a tripod and looked like it was going to take a picture.
We started speeding down the slide and suddenly fireworks went off. I laughed even harder and saw a big flash of the camera.
This was the best night of my life.
