*Valentina's POV*

I tipped the uber driver and thanked him as I got out of his car. I got my bags out of his backseat and he drove off. I looked up at the apartment complex I managed to get an apartment at. I walked in and to the service desk. "Valentina Coleman," I told the man behind the desk.
"Ah yes," he nodded, after searching through his computer. He grabbed a key out of a cabinet, filled with other keys. He handed me the key and smiled at me. "Floor 5 apartment 348," he told me, pointing to the elevator.
"Thank you," I smiled back at him. I walked to the elevator and pressed the "up" button. I got on once it opened up. I pressed the number 5 button and waited as it took me to my floor. I was terrified if we are going to be honest. I have never even visited California and now, here I am, living there. I walked down the hall till I found my number. I got my key out and opened the door. I walked into the, already furnished, apartment. I set my bags down on the floor and just looked around. I walked to my balcony and across the street was a line of houses. The were beautiful houses. I closed the blinds and started to unpack the things I had sent here.

I finished unpacking the little things I had. I went back out, making sure I had my key and my purse. I shut my door behind me and bumped into somebody. "Oh my gosh I'm so sorry!" I exclaimed.
"It's alright," a girl laughed. I laughed a bit too and looked up at her.
"I'm Stephanie," she smiled at me.
"Valentina," I smiled back.
"You're new here aren't you?" she laughed a bit.
"What gave it away?" we both laughed.
"Don't worry I'll show you around. I live in that apartment," she pointed the apartment next to mine.
"Oh cool!" I smiled at her.
"So why'd you move to the great Los Angeles?" she asked, walking to the elevator.
"Acting," I nodded.
"Really? I am kind of an actress too," she smiled at me, "I haven't made it to block buster movies yet but I've been in here and there."
"That's so cool!" I smiled at her.
"It is!" she walked into the elevator, as I followed.
"So where you going?" she asked.
"I was going to walk around the little strip of shops down the road and just tour a bit," I told her.
"Well hey I have an audition so why don't you come with and you can see how it goes here and then I'll take you around a bit and we can shop?" she asked.
"That sounds great!" I smiled at her. Thank god I met someone that I can talk to and be friends with.

As we pulled up to the theatre Stephanie and got out of her car. We walked inside and I sat down on one of the chairs. She walked backstage. I watched as people went on, auditioning. I smiled small, enjoying watching everyone who was aspiring to act. I heard a few boys trample in. I looked behind me to see three tall boys. "Whoops!" the one laughed.
"My bad," the other laughed, bouncing his basketball. I shook my head and rolled my eyes at their foolishness. "What you rolling your eyes at lil mama?" the one asked.
"You," I whispered, looking back at them.
"Why?" he laughed.
"Cause you're foolish," I told him.
"That was harsh!" his friend laughed. I just shrugged at them. "Your feisty," he smirked at me.
"Don't even try. I don't like boys like you," I looked back a the stage.
"I'm not a boy, I'm full man," I heard him tell me.
"Act like it then," I snapped back.
"C'mon Lonzo we are going to be late," his friend told him, laughing. Lonzo... I don't like him. He thinks he's the shit and I don't like that about boys... I shook my head a little bit and continued to watch the auditions.
