i read in a book once that our body replaces the majority of our cells every seven years. so my cells have been replaced almost three times. we change the whole upper layer of our skin every two weeks. if all of our cells did this, we would be immortal. but some of our cells don't renew. they age us.

in two weeks my skin will have no memory of farkle's touch, but my brain will. the memory of touch or immortality, we choose to have memory.

after twenty four hours, all i can think about is a kiss. those simple words that farkle texted imagine what a kiss would do, it just haunts me. i have seen movies where the characters kiss. but i've never imagined myself as a kissee especially not a kisser.

forty eight hours and i'm still thinking. i haven't told shawn about the holding hands, sharing breath or holding each other in our arms. i'm too scared shawn won't allow any more visits. just another lie to add to the ever growing list.

i think about the kiss. about how farkle's lips would feel against mine and the connection we might feel. how would it work? i research.
