Chapter 35 - Pain

EPOV

"You've got to be kidding me! It has been 72 hours since they've gone missing and still you've got nothing?!" I shouted to the officer who works on Alice and Bella's case.

"Edward, you need to calm down, man." Emmett clapped my back.

My parents, Jasper, Rosalie, Emmett and I gathered at the Swan's residence. Charlie have been working his ass off to find any evidence or witness about the kidnapping incident. When Emmett showed up at my house that day, he told me everything Rosalie had said. I almost lost everything right then and there. It's my girlfriend and sister there, for God's sake!

I had never sleep straight since they've been reported missing. I was so angry at the world. I had failed protecting Bella again. I had failed and I blame myself for that. My mother and Renee were hysterical, crying their hearts out for their missing daughters. I was glad that my dad and Charlie were there to keep them sane.

We all stayed at the Swan's residence the whole 3 days though, we would go to our respective houses to clean up and change clothes. Rosalie was still shaken up at what she witnessed that day. Her arms were bruised, as well as her face where one of the bastards slapped her. 

We went directly to the police department to report and as Rosalie laid out the events that happened, I almost died. They've abducted those innocent girls who have done nothing wrong. From that day, I never seen Charlie sleep or even take a short nap. There were search parties all over Forks, yet no one had a single lead that could be helpful.

"You should sleep, Edward." Emmett said. "I understand that you want to be there whenever they would find them, but you need your rest."

"No, I wouldn't sleep until we find them." I said.

"Man, please you-"

"I don't want to! Is it hard to understand?! Both persons I love were kidnapped!" I roared, my body trembling.

"Do you think I'm not hurting?! They're my sister and friend, do you think I don't feel like a piece of shit for just sitting here all day?!"

"Boys, you gotta stop. Fighting doesn't solve anything." Carlisle said in a stern voice.

I slumped back to the couch and watched my mom cuddled up beside my father. Her eyes were puffy red from crying 24/7, her hair in disarray, she was a mess. I want to be strong enough for my family, friends, for Bella and Alice, but sometimes I can't help but break down from the pain that I felt. Please, Bella, Alice. Never give up. We're going to find you. 

BPOV

I opened my eyes, my head throbbing violently. I tried to move my hands and feet, but they're bounded by ropes, tied in a death grip. My clothes were filthy mess, bruises were formed on my arms and reality of what happened came crashing down on me. We were kidnapped.

Without notice, tears were streaming down my face. I remembered that day very well, we were out having girls' bonding time when those bastards ruined it. They've abducted Alice and I relentlessly. Hell, they even put chemicals on our body to put us into a long sleep. I wondered how many hours were we gone - maybe days?

Alice was a across me in the same way I was in. I watch as she curled on the floor, her breathing was even which meant she was still alive. I scanned the place, it was a small cabin in the middle of nowhere and it was insanely dark and creepy. I let my eyes squint through the dark to find something useful or sharp to cut the ropes but found nothing.

"Alice." I whispered-yelled to her.

She stirred and groaned many times and I prayed that she would wake up soon before our capturers found us awake. "Bella?"

"Oh thank God!" I said in relief.

"Where are we?"

"I don't know, Alice but we need to find a way out." I said in determination.

Alice sat up and sobbed uncontrollably. I want to comfort her, but I can't because of the damn ropes. Suddenly, the door was pushed open by a man. Alice and I gasped in horror, our heartbeats were running wild. Fear flooded through me, as the man laughed in an evil way. He grew closer and a recognition dawned into Alice's face.

"James?" She said in disbelief. Damn it! That name clicks on my head, but I can't put my finger where I heard it.

"Oh my beloved, Alice. I'm back." He said in a sickly sweet voice.

"You, bastard! Why did you did this to us?!" 

James gripped her jaw and I pleaded him not to hurt her, but he continued his evilness. "You don't utter those words to me that way, Alice. Both of your lives are at my hands." 

"Well, f*ck you!" Alice spat on his face.

He slapped Alice on the face hard and she cried in pain while he laughed maniacally. He enjoyed terrorizing us and he was such a sick person. Come on, I gotta remember where I heard his name! I recalled past events of my life and it clicked. James was Alice's ex-boyfriend back when they were still in Alaska.

"James, just kill her company and have Alice all to yourself." A familiar voice rang out.

The door opened and I watched as Tanya sauntered inside the cabin with a menacing look. "You?!" I said, anger boiling in my veins.

"Yes, bitch! It's me. You think that you and Edward will have your happy ending?" I stared at her, as she laughed like a crazy person.

"You're all monsters! What do you want from us?!" I shouted.

"Darling, you better tone down your voice." James whispered near my ear and caressed my cheeks. I cringed at his touch and shot daggers at him.

"Isn't it obvious? James wants Alice, I need Edward and you're the only way. Surprise!" Tanya flipped her blonde hair.

"Well, you will not succeed! Once we found a way out, you're all going to rot in hell!" 

Tanya pointed her gun on my head, her eyes almost bulge outside its socket. "Tanya, drop your gun!" James instructed.

Tanya and James left without another word and locked the door. Alice and I broke into sobs, as soon as we realized that anything could happen. We may never see our friends, our families, that I will never see my Edward. Escaping from this damn place was our main goal but the odds were, we will be dead before we could even go out. Please help us. Edward, I love you.
