Chapter 5

~The Talk~

Bella's POV

        I did my daily routines. Tapped my alarm, went to the bathroom, fixed my bag and ate breakfast downstairs. Dad left home earlier while mom went to the market again. Emmett and I ate quietly, after that we jumped inside the jeep, and he drove us to school. We parted ways, and I went to my locker to get my things needed for class. As I was walking in the lobby, I saw Jasper. This is the perfect time. I checked my watch, and we still have twenty minutes before classes start. I went beside him discretely and poked his back.

        "Hey Bella! What's up?" He asked, a little surprised.

I chuckled and answered him. "I was just thinking about bringing this topic to you."

"What's it?" He was already confused, and I could sense that he's quite nervous.

"Well, I don't know how to say this but..." I paused finding the exact words to tell him.

"But?" he pressed.

"But I think that you're hiding something. The way you feel about Alice," I said nervously because I didn't know what would be the outcome of this talk.

He raised his eyebrow, and I really found it funny, but I pushed that thought away.

"Bella, I also don't know how to explain this. But I'm already in love with Alice the moment she sat with us that lunch time. I just kept it because I don't know if she'll love me back, and I don't want to hurt myself because of rejection. So I thought that it would be better if we're friends rather than nothing." His eyes were sad, and I could tell that he really loved Alice.

"Don't worry, I'll let the both of you talk about this. I'll text you later about the information so that you and Alice could sort this out." I clapped his shoulder encouragingly, and I was really excited inside knowing that they both liked each other.

"Thank you so much, Bella, I know that you are really a good friend." He smiled.

"Sure, anytime. For now, I have to go to class. Bye, Jas!" I said and waved goodbye.

"Bye, Bells!"

I was already sitting in my chair when Edward sat beside me. We remained quiet and waited for the teacher to come in. Soon the bell rang, and Mr. Banner went inside the room, and he started our lesson right away. I got my notebook and started taking down notes because after that we would have a short quiz to test our knowledge. Edward and I exchanged papers, and I was so surprised that he got perfect - so did I. Moments later, Edward handed me a piece of paper. I opened it and saw that he's asking if I was allowed to have dinner with him tomorrow night. Before I had the chance to reply to him, the bell rang.

"I'll just text you about the answer," I said to him.

"Okay," he replied, and we exchanged numbers so that we could contact each other.

Classes this morning passed by, and I was heading to the canteen to buy lunch. I saw Edward, Alice, Jasper, Rose and Emmett in one of the tables. I immediately went there and ate my lunch. I could sense that Alice and Jasper were not talking. I feared that they would not be able to express their feelings towards each other because of their shyness. I got my phone and texted Alice and Jasper that they should meet at the field after school later so that they can talk. Alice agreed and so did Jasper.

        Our classes this afternoon were finished, so Emmett and I walked to the jeep. I put my earphones on and thought of the possible events that would occur during the private talk of Alice and Jasper. I really hoped they'd work this out and admit their feelings to each other. Maybe tomorrow they'll walk together while holding hands or maybe they'll have their first date and first kiss? We arrived home in less than fifteen minutes, and I was surprised Emmett had not even said anything during our travel home. I got out of the jeep and walked upstairs. I went inside the bathroom, changed into my night clothes and got a milk downstairs. I started doing my school works and studied for my quiz tomorrow.

        I went downstairs to wash the glass I used. Mom's watching television while dad was sleeping on the couch. I tried to knock in Emmett's room, but no one's answering, and I heard someone snoring which I recognized was Emmett since I finished my assignment late. I went back to my room, fixed my bed and turned off the lamp. I need answers tomorrow.

A/N: I had time today and so I updated another chapter.. What do you think will happen with Alice and Jasper? Will they end up a couple? And what does Bella mean that "I need answers tomorrow?" Surely the chapter tomorrow will be fun!! Hope you like it guys!
