Virgil's Confession

It was a cold January night. Virgil was nervous. He's never felt really nervous about something because, well, he's anxiety after all. But he's hasn't felt his own anxiety. Well, not like this.

He started walking to Roman's room. Ready to tell him. As he did, Roman walked out of his room and bumped into Virgil.

"S-sorry! I didn't see you when I walked out." Roman said as he helped Virgil get up from off the floor.

"It's fine really." Virgil said. He chuckled a little when he said that.

"What were you doing near my room? Well before I ran you over." Roman said as he laughed at the memory of running Virgil over.

"Well, I wanted to tell you something. I think it's important." Virgil said as he turned his head away to hide the embarrassment. Roman gave him a sympathetic look as if it was something bad happening.

As he turned his head back, he saw Roman's expression.

"I-it's nothing bad! Sorry should have been more specific." Virgil said. "What I meant is, I have, well, I uh. I have feelings for you." Virgil said.

"Really?" Roman asked. He chuckled a little. He saw Virgil's face. He knew he was being serious.

"Oh. I see. You are being serious. Although you are quite red." Roman said.

"I understand if you don't have the same feelings. But know, I will never treat you differently than I normally do." Virgil said. He started walking away from Roman. Before Virgil got any further, Roman grabbed Virgil's hand.

"Wait!" Roman said. "You haven't heard my answer yet. All I said was a mere reply. The thing is, I like you too. I just couldn't find the right time to tell you. I really do like you." Roman said.

Virgil felt like crying. Not in sadness, but with joy. He was happy with the answer. Virgil felt water coming down from my face. He was crying. But with joy.

"W-why are you crying? Are you not happy with my response?" Roman said in a panic. He was trying to cheer Virgil up. When He was already happy. Virgil started laughing.

"Wha? Huh? Are you alright?" Roman said in confusion. Virgil nodded his head. "Yeah. I'm alright. I'm just really happy right now." Virgil said.

"Good. I'm glad that you're happy. Say how about we go on a date. Like tonight? How does pasta sound?" Roman asked me.

"Sure. I like pasta. Pasta sounds good." Virgil said. "Alright then. How about we make it? Just you and me?" Virgil said. Roman nodded his head.
