Fairy Tale: The Castle (Part 3)

:Previously on Fairy Tale:

"We should start heading out. We need to find Virgil as fast as we possibly can." Logan said. I looked at him with concern. "Don't worry about me Roman. I'll be fine." Logan said to me.

We all started to head out in search for Maleficent's castle.

It seemed like hours when we continued our search. I felt like we getting no where. I was starting to loose hope.

"Don't worry Roman. We'll find him. The castle is away from the town for a reason. Or at least I think the reason the castle is so far away is because Maleficent wants it to be hidden. She probably wants it to be a mystery for whom ever finds it." Patten said to me. Hearing that made me regain a little more hope.

It was dead silent all of a sudden. Logan suddenly stopped, not knowing this, I ended up bumping into him.

"Oof. Sorry Logan. I didn't see you stop. Question, why did you stop all of a sudden?" I asked him, but no reply. It looked as if he was staring at something. I looked in the direction he was looking in.

The path was clear. Not like just a big enough space for us all to walk side by side, no. It was clear of trees, bushes, and the dirt road we've been walking on was different as well. The beige dirt road was no longer a beige color. It was darker. Almost like a purple black.

"I believe we have found her castle." Logan said.

"How are you sure? I don't see it any where. Then again, it is quite foggy." I looked around and saw nothing but a dark purple colored sky and flat gray clouds. "Wouldn't the castle be bigger for us to see as well?" I asked him.

"Yes, but you do have to remember, she probably does want her castle hidden, like Patten said. Be careful on where you step. We don't know what kind of traps she set when we planned to come here." Logan said as he looked at Patten and asked of him to clear the fog and see if there is any barrier around the castle that is making the castle seem like it's not there." He said as he backed away, giving Patten some room to clear the fog away.

Patten cleared the fog away. When he did, I still didn't see anything. But then I remembered that I have to wait for Patten to see if there is a barrier or not.

It was taking a long time.

"Be patient guys. It seems her castle is bigger than what I expected. It'll take a little while, so just sit and wait." Patten said. It sounded like he was starting to struggle a bit. I was starting to get worried.

What happens if it backfires? What if the castle isn't there? What if we never find the castle?

These worrisome thoughts were coming back. I was shaking. It felt like tears were going down my face.

//Logan's POV//

I was watching Patton do his spell when I looked over to see Roman crouched over. His hand was covering his mouth. I was quite confused, that is, until I walked over to see tears dripping down from his face.

"Roman, it'll be alright. I'm certain this is her castle. Why do you think I would stop immediately in my tracks? I am certain you will find Virgil. Everything will be alright. There is no need to think of those depressing thoughts." I said in a calm soothing tone. I wanted to calm Roman down. We need him.

He is Virgil's boyfriend and, he did want to save Virgil, this was his idea after all. All Patton and I need to do is to fend off Maleficent. Giving more time for Roman to save Virgil.
