Today is like no other. I'm auditioning for the X Factor and I have no clue who the judges are. I know I could've checked that before coming here, but I wanted it to be a surprise for me. I hope they like me. I know that last year Demi Lovato was a judge and I hope that she'll be here this year as well. I'm a huge Lovatic. I adore everything about Demi. Her voice sounds like an angels voice and she looks amazing. I wish I could have those curves she has. Right now I'm waiting in line to get into the arena, where the auditions are being held. I'm really nervous about going on stage. I don't have a problem with singing in front of loads of people, but I hate talking. Talking and singing are like two different worlds. I feel confident and empowered when I sing, but I feel the exact opposite when I talk to people I've never met before. I finally get into the arena and I decided that I'm gonna sit down, since there are some free chairs left. A woman that looks like she's in my age walks up to me and greets me with a big smile. We talk about what song we're gonna sing and about our favorite celebrities. My favorite celebrity is Demi obviously. An hour or so later a producer finally calls out my name and I'm led into the backstage area. There are only a few people around here and everyone is focused on themselves. I start to warm up my voice and quietly sing a little part of the song I'm gonna sing on stage. "Leah on stage please", one of the backstage workers says and I nervously stand up. It feels like the room start spinning and I can't breath. I stand still for a second gaining back a bit of my confidence. Then it's time for me to walk on stage. When I'm standing on the blue X that's printed on the floor I finally get the courage to look up. That's when I meet the most beautiful brown eyes I've ever seen. The one and only Demi Lovato sits a few feet away from me. I think I'm gonna faint. "Hello Darling, what's your name?", Paulina Rubio asks me. "My name is Leah and I'm 34 years old", I reply. "Nice, what are you gonna sing for us?" "I'm gonna sing Cry Baby by you Demi", I say nervously. Demi smiles brightly at me and the music starts playing.

Everyone is clapping and the judges are on their feet. I'm so happy, that they liked it. Now I just hope to get 4 yeses to get through to the next round which would be boot camp. "That was amazing Leah", Demi begins, "You really made the song your own and you blew us away. I even think you're better than the original artist." After she says that she winks at me and I giggle at her and thank her, then Kelly Rowland starts to talk. "Hun your voice is amazing. You have something about you that we haven't seen before you walked on this stage. Your voice is powerful and calming. I really like you!" I'm freaking out on the inside after all that amazing feedback! "It's a yes from me", Simon Cowell tells me. "I'm gonna say yes as well", Paulina says. "It's a definite yes from me", Kelly says with a big grin on her face. "Leah, you've got 4 yeses", Demi practically yells into the microphone. "Oh my god thank you so much, I won't let any of you down", tell them smiling from ear to ear and then running off stage. When I get home I go to bed straight away trying to process everything that happened today. Since this where the last auditions, boot camp will start soon.

~4 weeks later, start boot camp~

Today is the first day of boot camp and it hasn't been the best day until now. I woke up with a major headache and a fever. I will still attend boot camp though. When I arrive at the venue it's being held at, I already see a lot of people there. To pass time I start to talk to some people. When the judges finally arrive everyone falls silent and Simon begins to talk. "Welcome to boot camp everyone! We are all here to work hard. This are gonna be tough few day. We wish all of you the best of luck. First you will all be singing a song in a small group of people and if you get through to the next stage of boot cam you will all be singing a song on your own." I start to get really nervous again. "You will have 24 hours to prepare the first song!" After the groups are made one person of each group is handed a paper with a few songs listed on it. I'm in a group with 3 other girls, their names are Lucy, Ella and Jennel. They are all really nice girls, the only problem is we al like different styles of music. Jennel likes rock, Ella is in love with ballads and Lucy likes rap. In the end we decide on L.O.V.E by Jessie J. We rehearse for hours until we realize that it's already 1 am. We start making our way to our hotel room. All four of us are in the same hotel room. When we enter I feel how tired my body actually is. I go brush my teeth, change into my pajamas and go to beed. I soon drift off into blackness. The next morning when I wake up, all the girls are still asleep so I get up quietly and get changed in the bathroom. When I get out of the bathroom I decide to go and get myself some breakfast. After breakfast I go for a run in a park nearby. When I come back I take a quick shower and then go search for the girls. I find them outside, practicing. "Hey guys", I say and they all smile at me and we all start practicing together. When it's finally time for us to perform in front of the judges I get really nervous. I mean, what if I forget the words? Would that be the end of boot camp for me? "Hello girls", Demis voice interrupts my thoughts. "Hi", we all say back in unison. "Take it away", Simon tells us. After our performance they immediately decide who's going through to the next round and who isn't. I hope I don't have to go home today. This is my dream and it would break my heart to not get through. "Okay so we've made our decision", Kelly begins, "and you all are going through to the next round!" We squeal in happiness and hug each other. This is amazing, I think to myself. The next day comes around really fast. This is the last stage of boot camp. I will sing Love On The Brain by Rihanna for them and I've been practicing every free moment yesterday, after I got through. Today we have to perform our solo and all the contestants that are through will also be in the audience listening to the other acts and perform their own act. The first 10 people have already sung and now it's time for a little break. I stay seated, cause I don't really feel like getting up and talking to people right now. I'm just trying to focus on the paper with lyrics in front of me. When the break is finally over the next 20 people perform. When they finish there's a break again. I feel really hungry so I go out of the auditorium and into the hallways. There's a big bar here with food and a lot of people talking and laughing. I recognize that one of the people here is Demi. She's talking to some of the contestants. When she sees me looking at her she walks over to me. "Hey there, you're Leah right?", she asks me cutely. "Yes that's me", I reply with a small smile on my face. We talk for a few minutes until it's time to go back into the auditorium. When Demi left after saying goodbye, I started to freak out. OMG!!! I just talked to THE Demi Lovato, I can't believe it. She's the most adorable and sweet person ever! I also start to make my way back inside and sit down at my previous place. Then it's finally my turn to sing. I have to admit, I'm really nervous, but I'm also really happy that I can finally perform. After singing the judges thank me and I go back to sit down. This is so nerve wracking, because wo don't know how we did until everyone performed. 3 hours later everyone has done their performance and we're all just waiting backstage and talking. Some people are crying, feeling like they messed up big time and some are bragging about how good they think they did. I really have no idea what I should think of my performance. When the producers split us up in groups, I really start to get nervous. My group is the first one being called on stage. "Hi guys, how are you doing?", asks Simon through a microphone and we start cheering telling them that we're good. "Okay, back to business. This decision has been really tough, cause I feel like there's a lot of talent this years. We decided that we will take all of you to the next round", he tells us smiling. I can't help, but start to cry out of happiness. Life shows are gonna be awesome. Later on in the day, we are all split into groups again and sent into different rooms. It's time for us to find out who our mentor will be. I hope that it's gonna be Demi, cause she's a really big inspiration to me. She's helped me through a lot and it would just be awesome having her as mentor. They door slowly creaks open and in walks Demi with a huge grin on her face. We all run up to her and hug her. Next week are the judges houses.
