Your Heart Refused

When the road seems too long,

 that dreadful darkness sets in,

When everything turns out wrong

and you can't find a friend

When the smiles are hard to come by

and you are feeling down

When you spread your wings to fly like a butterfly

 but can't get off the ground

Remember that they can't see how truly beautiful they are, but everyone else can.

When time runs out before you are through and its over before it begins

When the little things get to you and you just cant win

When your eyes hint at a story that wants to be read

Remember that it is not the endings that will haunt you but the space where the stolen specks of sunlight used to lie

When you are tired of not belonging

and you miss the moments you were able to release your grip

Remember that magic happens when you do not give up, even if you want to

When you feel so alone and the person you need is not there

When you miss the time you were not taken for granted

Remember that people only throw rocks at things that shine

When you doubt the brilliance of your shine

When you wish you could be a star

Remember that the stars light shines the brightest when they are starting to collapse

And last of all remember that your intuitions told you to walk away

Your conscience agreed with out delay

And your soul about to give way
