~Joe's POV~
I woke up early the next morning. I wanted to fetch Cam from her home, so that we would be seen together. I get off my bed, showered and ate breakfast as fast as I could.
I drove my car faster than I usually did every morning. I don't want to missed her.
I parked my car outside the gate and greeted the gatekeeper, "Good morning,"
"Morning, sir. Why won't you park your car inside? The gate will be open by me, don't worry. My work is easy, I push this green button to open the gate for you and when you have passed through it, I'll push the red button to close it back" the gatekeeper said.
I guessed he's the new gatekeeper because he looked so excited about his job. He also looks like ten years older than me and Cam.
"No, it's fine. Morning walk," I smiled to him.
He shrugged and said, "Your wish,"
I walked across their front yard and saw the light from Cam's room. She's up and she's still there getting ready and I'm not late.
I pushed the doorbell once. When no one opened it, I pushed it again a few times. No answer. I knocked on the door. No answer. Pushed the bell again and finally heard a scream from inside.
"Wait a minute!" it's her mother's voice. The door clicked opened and she greeted me,"Hi, Joe. Good morning. What makes you come to our house this early?"
"I came to see......" I paused and saw Cam entering the kitchen. She didn't see me, "........Cam,"
"Oh, sure. Come in," her mom opened the door wider for me to step in, "I'll be in the living room, tidying, if you need anything,"
I nodded and thanked her for letting me in. I headed to the kitchen. I pretty much know this house because I've been here before.
When I stepped in the kitchen, I saw Cam sitting on a stool at the kitchen table. "Hi," I greeted her.
"What are you doing here? Are you crazy? Come to people house early in the morning? I must've send you to the mental ward,"
"Wow, nice rant. I don't know you're talkative at home,"
"She is, Joe. In fact, she ranted to me yesterday," her mom said to me.
"No more secrets between us, okay?" I said to Cam. She shrugged and ignored me.
"We have an hour before our first class,"
"We have to get there early. It's our first day,"
"Who says? It's already months after the first day of school for this semester,"
"Shut up and let's go. You and I have a date. Our first date," I pulled her up and dragged her with me.
"Wait, wait, my bag," she shook off my hand, ran up the stairs to take her bag. I waited and waited and waited for her. She finally came after two minutes. I dragged her again.
When we stepped outside, she screamed to me, "Wait, wait, wait!! My shoe you bastard!" she entered her house and came out with a shoe.
"Wear it in the car. Come on,"
"But I can't run to your car without wearing my shoe on the tar road. Are you stupid?!"
"I'm not stupid,"
"If you're not, why did you park your car outside the gate? It's sor far! Go get your car I'll wait here,"
"It's just a waste of time if I take the car in and out again. I'm trying to save my money by saving the fuel,"
