Axel's POV
I sat at my desk, back home. I was bored out of my mind and restless. I wanted to talk to someone but... sadly. No friends apart from Jesse..
I leapt up and decided to visit Jesse. But where did he live? Oh well. Beacontown was small so I was confident I could find him somehow.
After an hour or so, I found myself in the woods. I never ventured in there as some say that there were wolves and deer and stuff in there. Nature never really agreed with me.
I stood there for almost a minute, a new record for standing still, I must say, and turned to leave, not really knowing why or how I ended up in the woods.
A crow squawked overhead and I turned to see a flash of red from its eye. Did crows have red eyes? I squinted at it to make sure but it just flew away. Huh.
"Axel?" Someone called and I turned to see Jesse, his brown hair a little messy but his green eyes looking at me curiously. "Oh. Hey." I greeted him but I was still distracted by the strange crow.
