Axel's PoV
"I'll tell you what's wrong with him." Olivia said, slamming my locker doors shut. "Uh.. are you supposed to be here?" I asked, as Olivia raised an eyebrow. "It's a hallway. I can go where ever I want, Axel." Olivia had caught me outside class and grilled me about facts on Jesse. If that didn't sound clingy enough.
"Do you have a crush on Jesse?" I had asked. And the slap mark on my arm told me otherwise. "If you ever ask that again," Olivia murmured, blowing on her hand, which was a little red. "I'm just looking out for others." she continued, pulling off her beanie. Her dark curlyish hair tumbled down her shoulders and I looked away a little, embarrassed to be staring at such a small gesture as that.
"So Jesse," Olivia said, not noticing that my attention was focused somewhere else than the memory of her smallest actions. "I'm not Jesse," I replied, finally turning to face her, with one eyebrow raised. "No, I'm just going to talk to you about Jesse, idiot," Olivia laughed, punching my arm gently. I grinned.
"What do you want to know about him?" I asked as we walked down the hallway to our next class. "His background." Olivia huffed impatiently. Oh. I thought for awhile, aware that even I didn't know much about my best friend. "You don't know, huh?" Olivia summed up, taking in my silence.
I sheepishly shook my head, making Olivia roll her eyes. "Alright, fine. Meet me outside school and we'll figure out what's wrong with him." she waved and quickly sped away, late for her class. I sighed and went on my way alone, as Jesse and I had different classes and I couldn't look out for him.

Olivia and I sat outside, on a bench outside our school. Jesse had gone home straight after school, saying that he had a headache. So Olivia and I had planned to meet after school to talk about how we could help.
"It's funny though," Olivia said when I sat on the edge of the bench. "What?" Without looking at her, I picked at my green sweater, trying not to think about the fact that she was so close to me. But we were just friends. That's all. "Because we're not friends but we're still helping each other." Olivia said in an honest way.
"We're not friends?" I asked, nearly falling as I was going to fall off the seat in the first place. Olivia said nothing and played with the bracelets on her wrists. "You see," Olivia continued and slipped off one of the bracelets. There was a red block charm hanging from it. "This was my best friend's. But she died, because..."
Olivia looked up at the sky, "She had he same symptoms as Jesse. Headaches... and migraines... and fatigue. Her name was Ellegaard and I knew how hard she tried to fight the pain." Olivia blinked a little, as I tried not to look at her. "I don't know what the disease is called but she was my best friend and she was older than me, of course. And," Olivia smiled a little.
"When I first met her, she was kinda an idol of mine. Smart. Brilliant. And everything I wanted to be. I even fainted when I met her!" Olivia laughed, making me smile. "But anyway," Olivia smiled gently. "Before she passed away, she just told me to live my life... and help others. And that's what I'm going to do."
