Axel's PoV

I gasped, trying to navigate my way through the pouring rain, on my bike. Why did my mom have to send me out to buy milk? Milk of all things? I braked quickly, got off my bike and stepped into the supermarket, drenched. "Hey Axel!" the cashier waved at me. They knew me very well since I always visited whenever I was hungry.

"Another errand?" the lady at the cash register asked, scanning the milk. "Pretty much. And it's raining out there!" I huffed, annoyed with my mom. The woman smiled and gave me my change without a word. I stepped outside and shivered, the wind immediately making me even colder because of the cool, supermarket air.

I squinted and saw a girl, sitting at a bench and she wore a familiar looking bandanna. "Petra?" I called, making her look up and blink due to the rain. She sighed, barely audible in the thundering rain. I went over to her, not caring that I was going to get wet. "What are you doing out here? It's raining!" I exclaimed.

Petra was always like a little sister to me, after she defended me once back when we were 10. After that, we were good friends but not so good after she met Lukas. But I never stopped looking out for her. "Yeah I guess it is." Petra murmured and left me alone in the pouring rain.

I looked down at the bench and saw that she had collected the missing posters and stacked them. And by the looks of the charred edges, she had tried to burn it.Why was she doing this? What was her story? It seemed that everyone in BeaconTown had a hidden secret.

I stood there for awhile, holding the milk- "THE MILK!" I yelped, immediately turning to run to my bike and cycle all the way home at full speed.
