Jihoon's Wish

Its 11:45 PM on the 21st of November when Jihoon suddenly felt lonely. He's alone in his room since his roommate, Soonyoung, went out.

Jihoon rolls on his bed the nth time that night. He wants to sleep, but he just can't. Maybe it's the cold weather or the soft sheets; Jihoon doesn't know why.

"I just wanna be with Soonyoung for tomorrow." Jihoon whispered. Tomorrowㅡ or should I say, later, is his 21st birthday. Their manager promised them that they'll go outside and eat to celebrate.

Unfortunately, Soonyoung won't be able to go with them because he has an urgent emergency on his hometown. So Jihoon's birthday is totally incomplete.

Don't get him wrongㅡ Jihoon loves to be with the other members, but without Soonyoung is different. Way different.

Jihoon was facing the window so he can see the moon from the outside. He's staring at it for a while, not noticing someone entering the room.

He sighed loudly. Maybe because of frustration of the fact that he can't sleep. Or maybe because Soonyoung wasn't there. Or maybe both.

He suddenly felt a weight on the other side of his bed so he faced it. To say Jihoon was shocked is an understatement. His small eyes widened and his mouth was agape because of what he was seeing.

Someone is sitting on his bed, holding a cake with a lit candle on his left hand and a beautifully wrapped box on his right hand. That certain someone is looking at him lovingly with a soft smile plastered on his face. And that someone is Soonyoung.

"Hyung?" Jihoon whispered, not really sure if he's hallucinating or just seeing things.

"Hi, Ji." Soonyoung said, his smile still on his face. Jihoon stared at the elder, admiring how beautifully he was made. How his skin has that perfectly white complexion, his perfectly shaped nose, his cute cheeks. And let's not forget his famous 10:10 eyes which makes Jihoon weak. And lastly, those lips. Those lips that are pink which makes it so kissable. Makes Jihoon wanted to own it. His perfectly built body which makes him look so manly especially when he dances gracefully. And the way he dances as if he's on his own world.

But Soonyoung wasn't just beautiful outside but also inside. Jihoon admires how kind Soonyoung's heart is. He loves how Soonyoung takes care of everyone. How he understands the hardships of the other members on coping up with their dance choreographies. How he loves and spoils Carats. How he loves his family. How he takes care of Jihoon which is obviously more biased from how he cared for the other members and how he makes the younger feel loved and love himself.

Maybe that's one of the strongest reasons why Jihoon fell for him. Hardly.

"Jihoon? You alright?" Soonyoung asked the younger because he's been spacing out the whole time. Jihoon blinked then nodded. He sat up to face the elder.

"Anyway, what time is it, Hoonie? What time is it?" Soonyoung said excitedly. Jihoon looked at the clock beside him.

"11:59 PM?" Jihoon mumbled. Soonyoung's eyes disappeared completely as he smiled widely. He placed the cake between him and Jihoon while he put the gift on his lap. The younger was only looking at him.

"Hyung? Why are you here already? I thought you have an emergency?" Jihoon asked as he tilted his head. Soonyoung looked away while smiling shyly and rubbing his nape.

"Let's say that... I lied? Hehe. I wanted to surprise you." Soonyoung said which made Jihoon blush. He's thankful that the room was dark and the only light that illuminates them was that from the candles and the moonlight. Soonyoung looked at his watch and smiled again.

"Ji, it's already 12!" Soonyoung excitedly said and started singing Happy Birthday to Jihoon.

"Make a wish and blow your candle!" Soonyoung said as he pushed the cake to Jihoon's direction. Jihoon breathed deeply then closed his eyes.

I hope I can make Soonyoung hyung happy at all costs.

Jihoon leaned and blew the candles. The room became darker, leaving the moonlight to be their only light source.

Soonyoung gave Jihoon his gift. Jihoon stared at it. Before he opened it. His eyes widened upon seeing the gift.

Its the limited edition headphones used for music production by the most popular brand. And a cute and really fluffy pink sweater together with it.

"I flew all the way to New York just to get the headphones and the sweater is an original item from Paris. Sorry if that's what i only got you, but hey. I did my best." Soonyoung softly said. Butterflies erupted on Jihoon's stomach and his heart was beating rapidly.

Because of extreme happiness, Jihoon wasn't able to talk so he just jumped onto Soonyoung's lap and hugged him tightly. He was teary eyed.

"I'm... really thankful, hyung. So much. I don't know how can I explain how euphoric I am. Thank you so much, hyung. This is the best gift ever." Jihoon whispered while he buried his face on the crook of Soonyoung's neck. Soonyoung smiled as he buried his nose on Jihoon's fluffy hair, loving the sweet vanilla scent while wrapping his arms around the younger's waist.

"I'm glad you loved it, Jihoon. I want to see you happy." Soonyoung whispered.

"Why'd you want me happy?" Jihoon asked. Soonyoung sighed. Its now or never.

"I love you, Lee Jihoon. You small, grumpy and cute fluff ball." Soonyoung said while smiling. Jihoon froze, which made Soonyoung's smile dropped.

Jihoon looked up at him and stared at his eyes. And then he smiled softly while pressing his forehead onto the elder.

"Hyung, I love you too. So much." Jihoon said while smiling. He's so happy that the person he loves is also loving him back.

Soonyoung hugged him again while smiling brightly. He's just so happy.

"Jihoon, please make me the happiest man in the world. Be my boyfriend?" Soonyoung asked. Jihoon smiled.

"Yes, hyung. I'd love to be your boyfriend." Jihoon soflty said while giggling. Soonyoung sighed happily.

"Now you made me the happiest man in the world." Soonyoung said dreamily which made Jihoon chuckle and smile to himself because that was literally his wish.

Well, that was quick.

But at least, he already got it. Though Jihoon believes that he deserves to ask another wish. So he closed his eyes and wished.

I wish Soonyoung hyung and I will always be together, whether we'll be happy or sad.
