Trolls Part 2 (Branch X Jamie)

Chapter 28: "Breaking Free"

"Alright, now it's time for Branch and Jamie to do their first dance as husband and wife!" Poppy said excitedly.

The trolls applauded while the couple got up and went in the middle of the room. They had chosen one song, but they changed it to describe what they went through when they were kidnapped. Branch bowed as he held out his hand.

"May I have this dance, my beautiful wife?" he asked.

"You may, my handsome husband," she answered, accepting his hand.

As they slow-danced, they also sang.

[Branch:]
"We're soarin', flying
There's not a star in heaven
That we can't reach"

[Jamie:]
"If we're trying
So we're breaking free"

[Branch:]
"You know the world can see us
In a way that's different than who we are"

[Jamie:]
"Creating space between us
'Till we're separate hearts"

[Both:]

Strength to believe"

At that moment, they went all out with the singing and dancing. All the trolls clapped to the beat and danced in place as they watched the happy couple.

[Branch:]
"We're breakin' free"

[Jamie:]
"We're soarin'"

[Branch:]
"Flyin'"

[Both:]
"There's not a star in heaven
That we can't reach"

[Branch:]
"We're trying"

[Both:]
"But we're breaking free"

[Branch:]
"Oh, we're breakin' free"

[Jamie:]
"Ohhhh"

[Branch:]
"Can you feel it building
Like a wave the ocean just can't control"

[Jamie:]
"Connected by a feeling
Ohhh, in our very souls"

[Branch:]
"Very souls,
Ooooh"

[Both:]
"Rising 'till it lifts us up
So every one can see"

[Branch:]

[Jamie:]
"We're soarin'"

[Branch:]
"Flyin'"

[Both:]
"There's not a star in heaven
That we can't reach"

[Branch:]

[Jamie:]
"Ohhhh runnin'"

[Branch:]
"Climbin'
To get to that place"

[Both:]
"To be all that we can be"

[Branch:]
"Now's the time"

[Both:]
"So breaking free"

[Branch:]

[Jamie:]
"Ohhh, yeah"

[Branch:]

More than faith"

[Jamie:]
"This is true
This is fate
And together"

[Both:]
"We see it comin'"

[Branch:]

More than me"

[Jamie:]
"Not a want, but a need"

[Both:]
"Both of us breakin' free"

All the Trolls loved the performance like crazy.

[Jamie:]
"Soarin'"

[Branch:]
"Flyin'"

[Both:]
"There's not a star in heaven
That we can't reach
If we're trying"

[Branch:]
"Yeah we're breaking free"

[Jamie:]
"Breaking free
Were runnin'"

[Branch:]
"Ohhhh, climbin'"

[Both:]
"To get to the place
To be all that we can be
Now's the time"

[Branch:]
"Now's the time"

[Jamie:]
"So we're breaking free"

[Branch:]
"Ohhh, we're breaking free"

[Jamie:]
"Ohhhh"

As they finished, their eyes remained locked on the others'.

[Both:]
"You know the world can see us
In a way that's different than who we are"

Everyone cheered, but Jamie and Branch didn't move their eyes until they kissed. Everything was perfect and nothing was going to ruin it.
