They all were walking back home when Jamie noticed Branch, dragging along behind and looking a little sad. She slowed down to walk beside him. She took his hand, getting his attention.
"What's wrong, baby?" she asked.
He sighed and answered, "I feel like I failed you."
"Failed me? How?" Jamie wondered.
"I may have been the one who got kidnapped, but when I saw that you were, I felt that I couldn't protect you," Branch explained.
"Branch," she said, a little surprised.
"I'm sorry, but I can't help but feel this way. You deserve an actual hero," he replied.
Jamie felt horrible that Branch felt this way. She then knew just the thing that would prove to him that he was her hero.
[Jamie:]

This made Branch smile and when she was done, she cupped his face.
"Branch, you've always been my hero, whether you save me from spiders or I need to talk to you about something that has been bothering me. I love you and I don't want you to ever doubt that," Jamie explained.
"You're right. I'm sorry. I just wanted to prove that I could be your hero, but you've shown me that I've already proven that," he said.
"You most certainly have," she smiled.
They kissed and when they parted, they saw the others, tearing up. They chuckled and they all continued for Bergen Town.
