Trolls Part 2 (Branch X Jamie)

Chapter 21: Moving Back to Troll Village

THE NEXT DAY

Poppy and Jamie went in Peppy's house to talk with him about something.

"You wanted to see us, Dad?" Poppy asked.

"Yes. Sit down," he said.

They did and waited for their father to tell them what he needed to say.

"What's going on, Dad?" Jamie wondered.

"I've been thinking...that we should all go back to Troll Village," Peppy said.

Both girls were equally surprised at this.

"You want us to leave the Troll Tree?" Poppy asked.

"I know it's risky, but Branch has his bunker and we know what to do in case this happens again," Peppy explained.

"We just have to tell Bridget and the Bergens," Poppy responded.

"Yeah. But remember we can meet them in the space between," Jamie said, taking her sister's hand.

Poppy smiled at her, knowing what she meant. They looked back at Peppy and nodded.

"Okay," they agreed.

They about left when Peppy replied, "Jamie, I need to speak with you in private."

Poppy nodded and left to tell the other Trolls what was going on.

"What's going on, Dad?" Jamie wondered.

"I wanted to tell you that if you and Branch want to, you can move in with him before you get married," Peppy replied.

"Really?" Jamie said with a smile.

"Yes. As I've said before, I trust you both and after everything that has happened, you need to be together and need a new date for the wedding," Peppy explained.

Jamie chuckled at the last part and nodded then hugged him.

"Thanks, Daddy," she thanked.

"You're welcome," he said, they parted, and as she walked toward the door, Peppy called out, "Don't make me regret it."

"Daddy!" Jamie gently scolded.

Peppy chuckled and stated, "I'm kidding. Now go and pack your things."

Jamie smiled and went out the door.

She walked to her house to see Branch, waiting for her. They smiled when they saw each other and hugged then kissed.

"So I take it we're going back to Troll Village," Branch said.

"We are. And Dad even said that if we're okay with it, I can go ahead and move in with you," Jamie replied.

"I would love that," he smiled.

"You want to help me pack?" she requested.

He nodded and they went inside. As they were, Branch noticed that Jamie was wearing his grandma's necklace that he gave her. He smiled at her and she noticed.

"What?" she wondered with a smile of her own.

"Have you worn my grandmother's necklace this whole time?" he asked.

Jamie touched it and blushed as she answered, "Yeah. I put it on when I found out you were taken. I promised I would rescue you and nothing was going to stop me."

Branch put the box down that he was holding, walked to Jamie, and caressed her cheek.

"I know I've already asked you this, but when did I get so lucky to meet you?" Branch said.

Jamie smiled as a tear went down her cheek and Branch wiped it away with his thumb. She kissed his palm as she held his hand to her cheek a little longer.

"I feel as if I'm the lucky one. You have always looked out for me," she said.

"You've done the same for me. I don't know if I've ever thanked you," he replied.

"You have. Here," Jamie told him, placing her hand on his heart.

Branch kissed her forehead and they hugged, Jamie kissing his cheek. As they did, Jamie remembered when Creek hurt him. They parted and she took his hand.

"Come with me. Let's see if we can clean those wounds," she suggested.

She brought him over and did that. Not once did Branch remove his eyes from her as she did. Once done, they finished getting her things, they did the same at Branch's place, and met up with the other trolls.

Poppy had already talked with Bridget and Gristle about them leaving. They understood and they would still come to the wedding.

Then the trolls set off for Troll Village.
