“Zayn?” My voice came out weak and unsure. I didn’t know if I should talk or pretend that I wasn’t there, but I decided to try to calm him a bit.
“Yeah?” he sounded distant.
“Are you okay?” I honestly didn’t know what to say to him now that I have his attention. I just want to take his mind of things.
“Yeah.” He sighed then chuckled, “I was the one who was supposed to ask you that.”
“Huh?” I frowned my eyes at him.
“Cause you fainted in class earlier today?” He explained when he saw my confusion.
“How did you know that?” I asked knowing fully well that I avoided telling him when we talked earlier today.
“Why? Didn’t you want me to know?” He asked rising an eyebrow with a hint of a smile on his face. My heart raced a little in my chest. Even though he was annoying right now, he looked so cute smirking.
“No, I just didn’t want to worry you.” And I didn’t want you to know it was because of you. “But seriously, how did you know?”
“The little birdy told me.” He smirked causing me to almost stop breathing, “I also know that you skipped breakfast today, Why is that?” He raised his eyebrows. Oh god, no.
“How did you know that?” I asked in a defensive mood. Who keeps telling him everything I do?
“Told you, my little birdy tells me everything.” he winked at me making me chuckle, “All jokes aside,” his expression changed to a serious one, “you should have known better than to skip breakfast, especially after what happened to Waliyha not too long ago.”
“Ha! Your little birdy didn’t tell you everything! I was stressed that’s why I fainted,” I smirked at him, teasingly, “I don’t have anemia. And I normally do eat breakfast.”
“Stress?” His face dropped.
“Yeah.” I shrug, not seeing why he was so sad about it.
“Was it because of.. those rumors?” He asked frowning with worry in his voice.
“No, it’s because of school.” I lied fast, hating the expression on his face right now. I knew he was going to blame himself.
“Maggie, don’t let those people get to you. They just want attention.” He tried to comfort me.
“I already forgot about it,” I brushed it off with a smile, “But I didn’t forget about your tweet,” I raised my eyebrow at him, “Why did you do it? I don’t want you to get in trouble.” I said worriedly.
“Don’t worry about it. I was frustrated and expressed my opinion, not a big deal.” He smiled.
“Really? But what about your management? I heard they are mean.” I frowned.
He laughed so hard, I could see tears in his eyes, “Mean?” He continued laughing.
“Yeah,” I said pouting, “I heard they always make you do things you don’t want and they control your every move.”
He burst out laughing, making me pout harder, “Don’t laugh at me!” I protested.
“Sorry,” He tried calming himself, “It’s just you make them sound like monsters who control my every move.”
“Well, don’t they?”
“No,” He chuckled, “They are annoying as hell at times, but they are alright I guess.”
