My grey sweatpants hung loosely on my hip bones as I swayed out towards my kitchen. I had to be at work in an hour yet I felt so disgusting I just wanted to call in sick. Grayson had been calling me all morning, asking me if I was alright. I just ignored him. I didn't want to talk to either. Both of them were acting like children. I'm not a cookie they can fight for. I'm a human being. I'm a human being who could really use some coffee.
As I poured my cup of coffee and began to apply my makeup there was a sudden knock at my door. I turned my eyes towards it. I grabbed the blanket on the couch in order to cover the fact that I wasn't wearing a bra under my t-shirt.
The open door revealed Grayson. I internally rolled my eyes.
"Hey gorgeous, I wasn't sure if you were alright or not so I figured I'd stop by before work," He sweet talks as he props himself up against the door.
"Grayson I'm not in the mood. I have to be at work in 45 minutes okay? Please just go," I ask nicely, wishing him away in my head. I did not want either of those two in my presence any time soon. Not before I figured out what I was going to do.
"Come on Raim, you know you wanna talk to me," He says as he slips his hand under my hair. I tilt my head to the side, wincing slightly.
"No I don't Gray, I asked you to go," I say again, attempting to pull away as his grip tightens. My eyes snapped to his. They were filled with anger and it scared me.
"I said I wanted to talk to you," His voice deepens. My heart rate is picking up and my skin is crawling with fear.
"Hey man get off her, she said no," I hear Dylan's angry voice bark from behind Grayson. His grip on me lets up as he quickly backs away from me.
"We got a problem here Keely?" Grayson provokes. I see Dylan's eyes flare with rage. He wouldn't let anybody treat me with such disrespect. It didn't matter the circumstance.
"I don't know man, do we? Last I checked when a chick says no she means get the hell out, so I think you should go," Dylan snaps. His eyes are fixed on Grayson, locked in a gaze of pure fury.
Grayson just looks at me and walks to the elevator. Dylan's eyes snap to me.
"You ok?" He calls from across the hall. I wanted nothing more than to run over and jump into his arms, but I didn't. I just smiled.
"Yeah, thank you," I call back. He smirks at me and nods as he makes his way back to his apartment. I close the door and lean my weight against it. I close my eyes and let out a sigh before rushing to finish getting ready.
With a to go cup in my hand and a put together look, I exited my apartment. I was greeted by Maya. She looked like she had something planned, which was never a good thing.
"So tonight, there's this sponsorship party that the guys invited us too and I figured we could make an appearance," She tells me as we walk towards the elevator.
"Maya, that is the last thing I want to do right now," I try to be honest with her as she presses the down button.
"Alright, I know you want to get away from those boys but I really think it'll be good for you to get out," She exclaims as our heels click in unison against the elevator floor.
"Maya you're a wonderful friend for trying to help but I really don't want to attend a party with both of the idiots who are screwing up my life right now," I counter.
"Please Raimy, I have this beautiful little black dress that you could totally rock tonight," She pleads as we walk towards the garage.
"I said no May, please just let this one go," I say as I pull my keys out of my bag. I stop in front of our cars and smile at her.
