The Izna Daily

Today Marks a historical day in Izna. After 15 long years, the head of the two ruling families of Izna is meeting today. The meeting is held behind closed doors in the central hall. Our sources say even the bodyguards are not allowed inside the room. Whatever the topic of their discussion is, we hope it will bring greater peace and harmony to the people of Izna and not end in a bloodbath.

Central Hall

"Cevdet"

"Vasili"

The two Heads Cevdet Yilmaz and Vasili Papadopoulos acknowledged each other with a stern nod.

"I hope you already guessed why we are meeting here today."

"Indeed. I heard that the "Black Swords" are causing quite a trouble in your area too." Cevdet inquired.

"Yes, they are creating unnecessary chaos and even dared to place moles among my men." Stated Vasili grimly.

"Same here. They are trying to manipulate the communication gap between us. I think it's high time this needs to be taken care of."

"Agreed. We need to work together to find out their whereabouts and annihilate them once and for all. They should serve as an example for future rebels not to go against the Families."

"Let's draw a contract stating our terms in this collaboration," Cevdet stated.

" Yes, but I would like to propose another thing to ensure that when all is done you don't backbite us. Because there is a saying in my family Never trust a Yilmaz."

"How funny because there is a similar saying in my family Never trust a Papadopoulos. So what are you proposing exactly Vasili?"

"I know you have an unmarried daughter. I propose a marriage between my son and your daughter. This will give both you and me security against backstabbing each other." Vasili said with a cold smile.

Cevdet stared at Vasili for a moment and then said

"I agree with your proposal. Lets set the engagement for next week and the marriage the week after that without wasting time."

The two heads finished their conversation by shaking hands on their future alliance.

"Leon I have arranged your marriage with the Yilmaz family daughter. Be prepared for the engagement next week."

From his lifelong experience, Leon knows very well not to show any reaction to this sudden announcement. And he can see that he was right because his father seemed very pleased with his emotionlessness.

"We will need to take full advantage of this situation. Cevdet Yilmaz's biggest weak point is his family. If we need to take control of him then we need to exploit it against him."

"So what's the plan, father," Leon asked.

"You'll marry the chit. Woo her, charm her. Make her fall in love with you and then when the time comes we will use her against her father."

"Yes, sir."

Yilmaz House

"Cevdet, I will not allow you to marry our daughter as a business deal. You can't do this to her." Azize Yilmaz shouted to her husband.

"Calm down, Azize. This is a temporary situation."

"Marriage is never a temporary situation, Cevdet."

"This one is. I have a plan and I'm sure our daughter will agree with it. Hilal, my daughter, come sit by my side," Cevdet lovingly called his youngest daughter.

Hilal who is watching this heated conversation between her parents, smiled. She would like to hear about this plan very much.

"Hilal, how long have we dreamed of ruling the whole country under our family?"

"Too long Baba," Hilal answered.

"Now is our time daughter. You will incorporate yourself in the Papadopoulos family through this marriage and gain their trust. When the time comes, we will get rid of that husband of yours. Without an heir to rule and as the wife of the dead heir eventually, you will gain control of that family and we will rule the entire country. What do you say?"

"I like the plan, Baba. I will prepare for the marriage."
