According to my sources, there is a weird tension going on between the Papadopouloses and the Yilmazes. But we couldn't get a clear idea what is all this about. But one thing is for certain, nothing good comes out from this type of tension between the families. Let's hope this is just a false alarm and history doesn't repeat itself.

"So why don't you finish what you came here to do, Hilal."

Hilal looked on brokenly at Leon. Tears rolling down her cheeks. She just stood there unable to move, unable to speak. Leon slowly placed his hands over hers on the gun. His finger covering hers on the trigger.

"Should I help you pull it?"

Leon asked in a rough tone and begin to press the trigger. Hilal removed her hand immediately from the gun as if it suddenly turned into hot metal. But she watched in horror as Leon pulled the trigger anyway.

"No," a desperate scream came out from Hilal expecting the worst. But only an empty click filled the room instead of a gunshot sound.

"Let me tell you a secret," Leon said to her while tossing the gun which is clearly nonfunctional, "You can't shoot me with that gun even if you wanted to."

"How?" Hilal asked with disbelief.

"Did you think the Papadopouloses are that clueless? That we won't know the Yilmazes were planning a coupe in our own mansion? My father and brother knew about this little plan of your father for a while now."

"If you knew then why wait until the last moment? You could've cornered me the moment I step foot in this room and pulled out that gun."

"I wanted to see how far you would go. I wanted to see if I was just a mission to you."

"Why do you care? Aren't I a mission set by your father for you too?" Hilal asked Leon bitterly.

"We both are a mission for each other Hilal. We both are the puppets of our fathers." Leon said in a hard tone. "Your mission was to kill me tonight and mine was to kill you before you can."

Leon pulled out another gun from his back and said, "Unlike yours, this one is fully functional and loaded."

"Then what are you waiting for? Go ahead, shoot me." Hilal replied to Leon angrily.

"You don't understand, do you Hilal? I can't kill you like the way you couldn't kill me."

Leon said while taking a step closer to Hilal and staring directly into her ocean blue eyes. He put away the loaded gun carefully.

"Why?" Hilal asked with half bewilderment and half hope.

Leon took both Hilal's hands in his and gently caressed the wrists with his fingers and said in a low voice,

"Aristotle said I count him braver who overcomes his desires than him who conquers his enemies; for the hardest victory is over self," He continued with a pause when Hilal looked at him puzzlingly, "We both tried our best for a long time but I think we were both defeated in this battle Hilal."

Leon closed the remaining gap between them in a sudden movement and settled his lips over hers for a kiss. Shock and surprise froze Hilal for a moment but then her whole body melted and she surrendered to him. Leon felt the moment Hilal began to react and kiss him back and a groan escaped from his mouth. He plundered her soft lips like a starved man. He probed her mouth with his tongue tentatively and she opened her mouth with a moan. The kiss started out as a small spark but soon it spiralled out of control and became a raging bonfire.
