The next morning Hilal was still trying to process last night's events. Never in her wildest dreams, she could have imagined the secret the Papadopoulos family was hiding. And she can understand why they are hiding it. Considering the influence both their families have on Izna this is the perfect weak point where others can easily blackmail a family. But then her thoughts ended up on Leon. He disclosed all this to her even knowing she is the daughter of their biggest rival. He trusted her enough to take this risk and this thought alone made Hilal feel things that she never felt before for anyone. When he was talking about his insecurities Hilal felt his pain as if those were her own. One thing she understood was that even surrounded by all the power, all the family and people, his soul was just as lonely as hers.

A knock on the door brought Hilal back from her thoughts. Veronica entered the room which surprised Hilal. After last night's incidence, she was very quiet during the breakfast this morning.

"Hilal, may I talk to you for a minute."

"Sure. You don't have to ask. Please come and sit down."

"I wanted to apologize to you for last night. I was not myself."

"I didn't think anything of it but thank you for saying that."

"I'm so embarrassed my dear. Please understand that I didn't mean anything that I said to you. I was not in a good emotional state last night."

"I understand. You don't have to feel guilty about it, really."

"But I do dear. I am supposed to take care of you here. I promised your mother that. But look how I've messed that up. Is there anything I could do for you? It would make me feel better."

Hilal first thought to reassure Veronica once more but then a sudden idea came into her mind.

"Actually, there is one thing that I wanted to ask you."

"Please, dear ask away."

"I was thinking if I could make a short visit to my family in the south with Leon."

"Oh, of course. You must be missing your family very much. I will talk to Vasili and arrange everything for your visit. This would be a good change for Leon too. After that awful kidnapping and public incidence, you two deserve a change of scenario," Veronica said excitedly.

"Thank you."

"Please don't thank me, my dear. I should thank you for being so understanding."

Veronica hugged Hilal gently and left.

One week later, Hilal and Leon were headed for the south to The Yilmaz family home for a month long vacation.

"It seems like you are more excited to visit the south than I am," Hilal said to Leon who was peaking out of the car window every couple of minutes.
