The Izna Daily

Hilal and Leon were spending a very peaceful couple of weeks in the south. I said it in past tense because this just in that the couple has been called back to the north urgently last night. This cuts their one-month vacation trip to half and we don't know yet the reason behind this change of plans. But we could guess that whatever had happened is something very important that prompted the couple to journey back to the north in the middle of the night. We will update you as soon as we get to know.

After the telegram, Leon and Hilal left for the North immediately at night. The Yilmaz family was told there was an emergency situation that needed Leon back at North. There were questionable glances from Cevdet to Hilal but she kept her silence. During most of the car ride, Leon was silent which got Hilal a little worried about him. She peaked at him several times to make sure he is okay.

Just before they reached the Papadopoulos mansion Leon suddenly took Hilal's hand into his. Hilal was startled by this sudden gesture but she covered his large hands with her small ones and gently pressed to make Leon understand that she is here for him.

"Hilal, they don't know that you know about Demitri. Most probably my parents will talk to you alone about this. Now that he is awake they can't hide it from you."

"Yeah, I understand Leon."

As soon as they reached Veronica was waiting for them both at the entrance.

"Leon, your father is waiting for you in the study. Hilal dear, would you kindly follow me. I want to talk to you about something." Veronica said to both of them.

Hilal exchanged a knowing look with Leon and then followed Veronica to upstairs.

After Leon talked with his father he went straight to the basement to see Demitri. Leon entered the room with a knock. Demitri was sitting on the bed with support. Leon never thought he would see his brother awake again and now watching him sitting on the bed looking at him made his heart fill with a strange happiness. He felt lighter, the guilt he was carrying in his heart for so long slowly melting away. Demitri looked at him with squinted eyes for a long time then his whole face brightened up with a smile.

"Well, look at you. Until now I haven't grasped the idea that 5 years have passed. But now looking at you it really seems like the truth. You've grown up my little brother."

"If you looked at a mirror then it would be easier to believe I think."

"I looked but still can't believe that five years have been passed."

"How are you doing?"

"I'm good apart from the fact that I can't move around much by myself. Apparently, five years of coma will do that to you," Demitri said playfully to Leon.

"I'm just happy that I'm able to talk to you. I never thought it would be possible again."

"I understand you, Leon. It must have been hard on you all these years. And speaking of possibilities I heard that you got married and to a Yilmaz nonetheless."

"Oh yeah, that happened," Leon said with a smile on his face.

"How's that going on for you?"

"It's going surprisingly better than I thought it would be, to be honest. I think you'll really like her."

"Oh really? In that case, I can't wait to meet my sister-in-law," Demitri said excitedly.

"Maybe tomorrow big brother."
