Intro

Hi Guys

I really love Hilal and Leon and their love story in the Turkish drama Wounded Love (Vatanim Sensin). I am obsessed with this couple in the drama and wanted to read fanfiction about them. But I don't speak Turkish and most of their fanfictions are in the Turkish language. :'(

So, I decided to write one in English. As an International fan my knowledge of Turkish history is only based on Wikipedia so I just took the characters from the drama and created a story in an alternate universe.

I tried to maintain the essence of the characters but the setting is very different from the actual drama. This is my first attempt to write a fanfiction and English is not my first language so please pardon any grammatical mistakes. 

The story takes place in an imaginary country called Izna. The country is controlled by two powerful families which have a long-standing history of rivalry. The North part is ruled by the Papadopoulos family and the south part is ruled by Yilmaz family. Currently, the two families are in a state of truce but a secret rebel group plans to assassinate both families to take over the country.

The two head of the family forms an agreement to work together to destroy the rebel group. At the same time, each family head has a sinister plan of his own.

P.S.  As there is no family name indicated for Hilal in the drama I took the liberty here, I searched for the most common family name of Turkey and this one seems like a good match to me for Cevdet and Hilal due to its meaning. Yilmaz means unshrinking, unbeatable or brave.
