This story is all in Millie's POV so don't get confused. Thanks!
I was so excited! This scene we are going to do for Stranger Things will be the best! I'm waiting patiently on does 'movie star' chairs or whatever you call them. Sitting beside me is my secret crush, Finn Wolfhard. "So are we really gonna do this?" he asks looking at me. "So you are nervous?" my British accent raising higher at the end.
"So you are looking forward to it?" he asks with a smirk on his face.
"Well, it's part of the job, right? So this is just an act." Shit. Why did I say that? But I want it to be more!
"Yeah sure, acting." he says with a frown. He turns away from me.
We are going to do a dancing scene for Season 2 while ... Huh why did say that to him? Why can't I just tell him my true feelings? I liked him the moment I saw on set. His freckles under his eyes and his nose, his thick curly hair and that jawline, don't even start with that. I mean we already kissed before in Season 1 and now we only have to dance. That kiss was amazing. I could feel the sparks going through my body. It was only about 3 seconds but I wanted it to be more.
"Millie! Finn! It's your guys turn! Get ready on the dance floor." Matt screamed to us.
"Let's go Millie." He says.
We walk to the set which was the school gym decorated for the Snowball. We pass Sadie and Caleb. Sadie was blushing and Caleb was just smiling like crazy.(You probably know why he isn't blushing. He is. Just doesn't show it for reasons) "What's wrong with them?" I ask very confused.
"Oh yeah, about that," Finn scratches the back of his neck nervously.
"What about it?" I ask with my eyebrow raised.
"Well, I told Matt and Ross that Sadie should kiss Caleb for the fans," he says biting his lips. "And uh- I um, I kinda-um."
"Come on Finn, spit it out" I ask confused.
"I- alsoacidentallymadehimmakeuskisstoo." he blurts out.
"What?" I'm not really mad, I'm just shocked. I can kiss him... again.
"When I asked him he said that we should kiss too to make it fair. I'm sorry I did that." he says looking at his feet.
"Do you know what? It's fine. I can kiss you again." not realizing what I said until after I said.
He chuckled softly " Oh really? Well that's nice to kn-"
"Guys! Places!" Ross shouts. We went to our positions on the dance floor. "and action!"
I'm wearing this old style dark blue dress that goes to my knees. I had my short hair going down my neck with a blue bow. Finn is wearing this tan suit that fit him well with a red tie. He put his hand out and we intertwind our hands together. Just the touch of him sends tingles down my spine.
I put my hands around his neck while he put his hand on my waist. The camera was spinning around us. We were just staring at each other's eyes as we swayed along with the music.
"I'm coming in." He says like a ventriloquist, not moving his lips. He leaned forward and I did too. Our lips touched, making fires light in my body. His lips felt so warm and full, like the last time, and it tasted slightly like strawberry punch. My shoulders hunch up a little when we kiss for a mere 3 seconds again, but it still feels like an eternity. What I would do for more, more time to be with him, more moments like these, for our relationship between each other to be more.
We part slowly from each other. The fire in my body is burning with the internal fire, mostly down in my lower parts. (*Cough*) I have this ridiculous smile on my face right now, my cheeks genuinely hurting a little for smiling so widely. My face felt on fire, too, with blush. Finn is staring into my eyes with mouth slightly dropped.
We are still swaying with the music, still in each other's grasp, when we notice the camera is still rolling and the cast, crew and about a hundred extras watching us.
"Cut! That's a wrap guys!" Ross screams from the side.
We hesitantly let go of each other, the whole room bursting with excitement and conversations. Finn and I walk back to our chairs, side by side, secretly eyeing each other while facing forward. I slump down in my chair, a little too fast, and my chair leans backwards. I am about to crash to the ground when Finn catches my hand. He slowly pulls me and my chair up right.
I didn't know how, but I find myself on my feet. I look up at his face and he looks down on me. Our hands are still holding on to each other, hands fitting perfectly. The burning from before still burns inside me, brighter than the sun. My body begins to tremble, not because I am scared or anything, because I feel the cold tingle go down my spine, mixing with the heat, giving me a pleasurable feeling inside me.
I don't care about all the people staring, the cast, my parents, all the strangers. We are in our own world, staring into each other's eyes. I'm still not sure what his feelings for me are but he keeps staring at me. I take a risky move and lean against his body with my chest and place my palm right square on his chest. I could feel his heartbeat go faster when I did that. He did not even pull away, so I'll take that as a good sign.
Now I am staring completely up to look at his eyes. It hurt my neck but I don't care. I start to stand on my tiptoes when the fire alarm goes off.
BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP
I snap my head to the right. Somehow, I fire blazes to life, probably from a faulty light bulb, at the far side of the gym set. Seriously? I was about to kiss him! That was my first thought and I immediately regret thinking it. So selfish of me to think about kissing Finn but not for the people can get hurt.
People start to scream and panic while Finn just looks at the fire for a while.
"You know, it's kinda beautiful. A fire, I mean." Finn says blankly, the fire light reflecting off his eyes.
"What?"
"Look how easily everything can be destroyed by something as small as a lit cigarette or spark."
We stand there, side by side, looking at the fire growing bigger while everyone scrambles everywhere to safety. Suddenly, Finn runs to the wall and gets a fire extinguisher. He quickly takes out the fire after a few minutes of spraying the white foam everywhere. When the fire dies down, he drops the fire extinguisher. It clangs loudly against the floor.
I saddle right next to him as he stares at the bubbling foam.
"But you can never get to close, or the beauty can burn you." he turns and looks at me. "Don't you think so?"
I can barely hear his question because the alarm got substantially louder.
"Yeah, I do." I lean in again to kiss him but the alarms keep blaring into my good ear. I clutch my head in my hands to keep the sound out but it seems to get louder. My hands still over my ears, I fall to the ground.
"Millie!" Finn shouts. He kneels down and wraps me in his arms.
"Shhh, Millie. It's okay. It will turn off soon. Just listen to my voice." Finn whispers in my ear, somehow cutting the alarm for a second. He cradles me for awhile, his arms so warm, like a blanket. Even though being in his arms is so comfortable, the alarms still hurt my ears.
That's when I woke up.
