Three days. Three days I have to wait until we can go to New York. I'm kinda sad that Paige won't be coming with us but at least Izzat is better when it comes to teasing me. Better, not good. I've known Izzat for so long now, since the 3rd grade. He's like a big brother to me. He always knows how to make me laugh and grown rather protective of me as we started getting closer. He was my best friend, the only person that I can be proud to call friend.

/Ding Dong/

I was in the living room so I went to the door. And there he was, standing there waiting for me with a smile on his face. Seeing him made my heart skipped a beat. Wait, what? There was never anything romantic between us. He has this thick black hair that sweeps off his head. He had wisps of a mustache and a beard already. To think he was 6 months younger than me. "What are you doing here?" I ask I little harsh for no reason. "And hello to you too." he said with a smile still on his face.

"I'm so sorry, come in." I look down embarrassed I just said that.

He sits down in my living room. I sit across from him.

"Look, I just want to say, thank you for the invite. I feel very- uh what's the word? -appreciated that you picked me out of everyone you know." he says while rubbing his hands together.

"Actually, the rest of my family members were busy so you were my last resort." I smirked at him.

"Charming as ever." he notes as he smirks back.

I look at his shirt with a Stranger Things logo.

"Nice shirt."

"Thanks. You know how big of fans we are."

"Are you excited? To meet them?"

"Of course I am! But I know that you are particularly excited for a certain," he clears his throat, "actor." He's exactly like a brother.

I punch in the arm forcefully as he knew about my secret crush.

"Ow," he mumbles, " that actually hurt."

"Get use to it." I laugh at him.

"Anda akan meyesal itu." he says to me.

"What?"

"Nooooothing..." he says with a smirk.

Oh no. This is his strategy. He was born in Malaysia and sometimes speaks in Malay to confuse me or to say things that he doesn't want anyone to hear.

"What did you say?" I ask more forcefully.

"Nothing. Nothing that will interest you."

"Just tell me!" I scream in his ear.

"Okay, okay. Ow, you didn't have to scream in my ear."

"Well I already have one deaf ear, so now it's fair." I state with my eyebrows raised.

"Okay how about this? You learn a new language so then you can do it back to me." I punch him again.

"How about you just teach me Malay for the next few weeks? I want something to do."

"Okay fine. Simple enough even for someone like you." I punch him even harder.

"Promise?" I quote from Stranger Things.

"UHH, you are so cliche. Fine. Promise."

This is just a filler. Everything stated here is all true about me. Izzat is just basically me in text.
