Coming Out (Not Like That)

I wake up with a smile on my face. For the first time in a long time, I had no dreams but I slept peacefully. Last night, I sigh deeply thinking it, was the best night of my life. I touch my lip. It was still swollen. That means I didn't imagine it or dream about it. I felt relief rushing through my veins. Finn Wolfhard is my boyfriend and he likes me. Of course he likes you Millie! Why would he ask you to be his girlfriend?  We only have 5 days left in New York.

After I shower and get dressed, I get on my phone and decided to text Finn.

Private Conversation with FinnyBoifriend:

Millsie: Hey, boyfriend!

FinnyBoifriend: Don't rub it in okay? You already know how I feel about you. ;D

Millsie: What are you doing?

FinnyBoifriend:Oh I'm about to do an interview for Stranger Things for BUILD. We're about Live right now. It will be on Youtube. You can watch it in about 5 minutes.

Millsie: Oh cool. Bye. <3

FinnyBoifriend: Bye. <3

Chat Ended

I press my phone to my chest. So it was not a dream or anything. I giggle to myself at his chat name. FinnyBoifriend?He is a riot. My mom noticed me laughing at myself. "Why are you laughing sweety?" Should I tell her? Will she get mad? I gulp in nervousness.

"Uh-mom? Last night-Finn um- asked me to be his boyfriend." my voice raised at the end like I was asking a question.

My mom's mouth was like a fish's and her eyes was round in shock. "You. Have. A. Boyfriend?" she says slowly looking at me. I nod my head slowly. No heading back now.

"Finn Wolfhard? An actor and celebrity?" she asked again. I nod again. I was bracing myself for the scolding and the smacking. I felt myself in her embrace really tightly. Wait, what? "Finally! You did it! I'm so proud!" her reaction the same as Izzat's.

I just stayed there in shock as she kept hugging me tightly.

"Oh, I know you always liked Finn. Izzat always tells me about you falling head-over-heels over Finn." I felt my blush creeping up on me. She let go of me and stared at me. "How did my daughter get someone like him to fall for her?" she says with tears in her eyes. "It comes from you I guess." she hugs me again. She then whispers in my ear.

"You didn't think you can hide your swollen lip, did you?" I feel my face drop. She notices and laughs.

"Don't worry, hun," she's still laughing, "I was fourteen once. But don't do that in front of me. I will check your neck and lips every night." she orders sternly. I blush even harder. "Thanks mom."

"I will get breakfast for you. I will be back in 40 minutes, okay?"

"Okay mom. Bye." she left the hotel room.

I jumped on my bed in excitement because my mom approved of our relationship. I remember about the interview and calmed down. I flopped down on the bed and opened Youtube. And there it was, in my recommendation list, was the Live interview. I clicked on it to see Finn Wolfhard, Emmy Gravelly, Noah Schnapp, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo and Natalia Dyer. They were getting asked questions by the interviewer on stools. There was a little lag and the Live comment section was exploding with comments. I was watching for about 20 minutes when a question made me perk up my ears. "Are any of you currently, besides Natalia, in  a relationship?"

Everyone except Finn shook their head no. Finn just blushed. The interviewer and the crowd noticed, followed by a chorus of "ooooooh". The comment section exploded, going 100 miles per hour, saying things like 'Is it Emmy?' or 'Femmy is real'. Finn just blushed and I smiled at him flustering.

"Uh," Finn starts, "yes, I'm currently in a relationship."

The crowd exploded and everybody went crazy.  The interviewer, after a few minutes, calmed down the crowd. "Can you tell us who the lucky girl is?" the interviewer asked curiously.

"Well," Finn starts, "she is someone I just adore and want to be with for the rest of my life." the crowd awed at that. Emmy stood straight and put on a huge smile.

"It seems like I've known her for my whole life. I feel so happy with her. All the stress for shooting Season 3 just vanishes around her, like she is the breath of air I needed for the longest time." Emmy was about to get off her stool.

He looks straight at the camera. "Millie Bobby Brown, if you are watching this, then I-I love you." Emmy immediately fell off her chair after he said that. All the cameras were focusing on her and it saved Finn from total embarrassment. Everybody in the comment section started freaking out but then people started saying that they were me and everything. "I'm Millie!" or "No, I am!" or "He's my boyfriend. Yeesh. These people are desperate. After Emmy got up with a frown on her face, the interview continued.

The interview ended shortly after. "Thank you everyone for joining us and congratulations to Finn for his new girlfriend!" the interview announced.

Live Streamed Ended.

Wow. I can't believe Finn was that brave to publicly announce our relationship. My mom came in the room with, surprisingly, Izzat. He was wearing a crimson red sweater with a leather jacket. He was wearing trainers and a pair of jeans. Rather stylish. "What are you doing here?"

"What? I can't eat breakfast with you?" I blush slightly.

"Okay, I'm sorry."

We sat down together eating some breakfast my mom bought from a restaurant. "So," Izzat says, "I say that Live interview. Very interesting." I blush slightly.

"Why was it so interesting?" my mom asked him.

"Finn confessed his love to Millie on live television. He loves her that much. But you," he says pointing at my mom and me," all ready know that.

After we ate, I went on my phone. Social media exploded with news about Finn and me.
