After a little while of going through songs, my phone went off.
FinnieBoi: We're here already. Come down. I miss you. <3
A huge grin crept upon my face. I tapped Izzat's shoulder to signal him that we have to go. He nods and shuts down his laptop. He combs through his short hair with his fingers before getting up.
As we we're walking down to the lobby, Izzat was humming 'Reservoir'. I noticed that he still had the limp, his back slightly hunched over and his walking pace all over the place.
"You need any help?" I ask him, worried about his health.
"It's fine. Plus, if Finn sees you helping me, he might beat me up again." he smirks at me and continues to hum the song.
"Can you please not hum that song? I'm trying to forget the video." I cover my ears, slightly annoyed.
"Fine." he then changes to 'King For A Day' by Pierce The Veil.
When the elevator doors opened, we saw Finn, Emmy, Noah and Caleb sitting on the couches in the lobby.
"Where's Gaten?" Oops. I forgot to tell him.
"Oh, he's busy today." he nods and we head to them.
When I met Finn's gaze, something in my body blew up. He always looked so handsome and cute at the same time. His crazy curly hair was everywhere, almost covering his face. His freckles made me feel giddy inside. His brown eyes like mine, deep and dark, making my heart beat faster. I run up to him as he pushes himself off the couch. I literally smashed my lips against his, hurting a little but he didn't seem to care. He immediately wraps his hands around my waist and I wrap mine around his neck. Our lips felt perfect against each other, like we were meant to be. We could've gone longer but someone's voice interrupted us.
"Hey! No PDA allowed!" It was from a security guard standing by the glass doors of the hotel. (For anyone who don't know, PDA stands for Public Displays of Affection)
We let go of each other and I blush terribly. I look up at Finn to see him blushing like crazy as well. All of our friends were laughing at us. Emmy was leaning against Izzat because she was laughing so hard. He suddenly noticed and looked down at her with a bewildered look. She seemed to notice what she was doing and got off him. They were looking away from each other, but they still sat very close to each other.
"That was super funny. You guys better be careful next time or you won't see the end of us." Caleb chided us. I roll my eyes at him.
"Come on, love birds. I need my early afternoon coffee." Noah said to us. They all get up and we start to walk out the hotel, Finn and I ignoring the death glare the security guard gave us.
I slip my hands in Finn's. Our hands felt perfect in each other's, like it it was a piece of plastic melted together and was molded like that. Or like it was two puzzle pieces put together. We swung our hand back and forth to the coffee shop. Caleb and Noah were walking in front of us, having some conversation about video games. Emmy and Izzat was walking behind us. I kept glancing behind my shoulder to look at them. Emmy kept giggling at something he said while he just looked back at her. He had his hands in his hoodie pockets and Emmy's hand kept brushing against his pocket, like she wanted to hold his hand. I just wanted to scream how cute they looked.
We finally reached an old-fashion coffee shop and entered it. We sat down at a circle of bean bags. I sit down next to Finn, hands still intertwined. Emmy and Izzat seemed inseparable because they sat down next to each other again. Caleb and Noah were having an argument on the best way to win in The League Of Legends of something. A petite blond waiter came to us and asked us what we want nicely.
I ordered a cappuccino.
Finn ordered the same
Caleb ordered a mocha.
Izzat ordered some water.
Emmy ordered some water, too.
Noah ordered a latte.
While we waited for our orders, we talked for awhile about some random stuff. After we got our coffee, we decided to drink it while going to the park. We walked like before, Noah and Caleb in the front, Finn and me in the middle, Izzat and Emmy in the back. Now Izzat's other hand that was not holding his cup was out of his pocket. Their hands kept brushing against each other, making me more mad that they can't just be together.
"Fuck this." I mumble. I let go of Finn's hand and turn back to them. I grab both of their hands and force them to hold it. They looked at me with shock in their faces. I smirked at them and turned back, lacing my hand back with Finn's. I looked back for a second to see them still holding hands.
The park was absolutely beautiful. The brisk wind ruffled the trees side to side. There was a sky blue lake in the middle of it. I sipped my drink carefully because it was still a little hot. I could hear the excited voices of children in the distance at a playground. I look behind me again to see Izzat and Emmy a little far from us. She willing to go along him because of his limp.
We decided to go separate paths. Finn and I were walking on a concrete path along the lake. There was a silence, not an awkward silence but a peaceful one. There was people jogging on the path with us. We saw a couple people on some picnic blankets. We sat on an empty bench right beside the sidewalk. It was underneath a tree, so we had a nice shade to be under. There was a small pen graffiti on it but I didn't care. Once we sat down, Finn pulled such a cliche move. He faked yawn and stretched his arm around my shoulder. I roll my eyes at him.
"You are such a cliche, y'know that?" I say to him.
"I know. And you love me for it." I roll my eyes again and snuggle closer against his side. We just watched people, a couple playing with their child, some guys fishing in the lake, a group of friends playing with a frisbee disc. It felt so perfect, so calm, that it all seemed like a dream to me. (Don't worry! It won't end like that! I promise. I HATE THAT CLICHE.)
But I felt something was wrong. I then remembered this was the second last day in New York, maybe the last time I see Finn. I muster all of my energy to croak out a few words.
"F-Finn?" he looks down at me.
"What is it, Millie?"
"H-how are we going to see each other after this w-week is o-over?" I was stuttering like crazy, sobs coming out of me. The cast was one of the best people I have ever met. Leaving them, especially Finn, will break me apart. He pulls me into a tight embrace as I break down slowly, sobbing on his shoulder. He shushes in my ear.
"Millie, don't cry. Everything will be fine." he tries to reassure me.
"No, it's not. I might not see you again." I go back into his shoulder.
"Mills, didn't you say you live in Los Angeles?" I nod my head in his shoulder.
"Mills, I live in Los Angeles." I spring out his shoulder. What? How could I not know? I was overjoyed at that moment. I hugged him super hard and kissed him for so long, not caring what people think. I let go of him to look him in the eye.
"So that means..."
"We can still be together. Los Angeles might be a little big but that won't stop us from being together." he finishes my sentence. A huge smile was planted on my face while a sniffle a little.
"Even if we're a thousand miles apart, I will do anything for you. Because I-I love you, Millie." my heart was melting into my shoes. I couldn't believe he said that, even though we were together.
"I-I love you, too."
"I know."
