I couldn't sleep last night. It wasn't anything out of the ordinary. All it was, was depressing, and left me with a nice pair of eye bags.
I kept replaying the scenario of yesterdays events over and over in my head. Not knowing if whether to disregard it as part of a daydream, or maybe that I should check myself into a mental institution because one thing was for certain. He wasn't real.
I poured myself a cup of coffee, adding in the sweet deliciousness of four sugar packets into the mix. Coffee wasn't exactly a necessity, and it didn't really do much in making me more energized, but I was definitely addicted to the taste. My mom made sure to leave some extra coffee for me every once in a while. Unlike me, coffee was a must for her. Without it she tended to be a bit cranky.
Lingering around the kitchen for the last few minutes I did a run through, yet again of what had happened yesterday. It was almost like I could remember everything so perfectly, so vividly, that it gave me chills. It was hard persuading myself that I tripped, hit my head, and had then dreamt of him.
One thing kept nagging me, regardless of it being a dream. The look in his eyes were different from all the other times I've seen him. Usually, he wouldn't spare a second to gather me up into his arms and switch into his sweet persona. This time...he was distant. I could feel the metaphorical barrier he placed between us, but then everything went blank and then the other dream came, showing him back to his formal self.
A honk sounded, making me jump and spill a bit of coffee onto the floor. I cursed, hastily ripping a piece of paper towel and wiped away at the mess, already feeling the buzz of messages coming from my phone.
I locked the door on my way out, and sucked in a deep breath before stepping into Nathan's car, the nerves creeping up on me.
I was greeted by Nathan's puckered lips.
"I love love love you sooooo much," Nathan mimicked my dream state, making kisses noises.
I tried smacking him away, pushing away the blush making its way onto my cheeks. "Oh shut up will you. EW! Did you just kiss my hand?" I wrenched back my hand in horror, and watched as Nathan clenched his stomach in laughter.
"Seriously Piper you're priceless sometimes," Nathan said as he changed gears, reversing out of my driveway.
"I'll take that as a compliment."
He let out another laugh, and I did my best to ignore him, but I couldn't help to wonder if I'll be seeing him again.
It was probably a look alike. Geez, I probably creeped the guy out fainting at the sight of him. That's not something that happens everyday.

The day was the same as any of the others. Classes went by with boring lectures, and after Nathan dropped her off back at home, I was convinced that yesterday I had either bumped into someone with the uncanny resemblance to my angel or I was hallucinating from lack of water. I tended to be a scatter brain a lot.
With that, I grabbed a bottle of water, popping off the lid and taking a sip. I wasn't about to have any more hallucinations.
I looked at the microwave clock, knowing that my parents will be home soon. I grabbed a broom, knowing I had about 30 minutes of cleaning before they got home.
I was a cleaner...sort of. Sometimes I wanted nothing to do with cleaning, but other times it made me relaxed, and proud of myself that I managed to do something productive besides day dreaming.
