Joshua took hold of me, and I looked up to see his jaw clenched, but I wasn't up for his attitude. I was still focused on Eric, on him being real, and at the thought of him my heart began beating rapidly.

The infirmary was packed, but Damien had spotted me right away. He looked in confusion as to why Joshua was the one escorted me here, and rushed over.

"Why is she here," his tone was neutral, but I couldn't help but feel offended at his words.

"Eric is alive. He told me to take her here to get checked out," he was short as always, but I knew him admitting that Eric being alive was like vemon in his mouth since it meant that I was right.

Damien had a stunned expression at Joshua's words. "Eric is alive?" Then he looked down at me in shock, "Then she must really be-"

"She isn't," Joshua cut him off.

Damien gave him a stern look, "How are you so sure? She said he was alive when we didn't believe her and now look.

"We already found the chosen one Damien!" He snapped, "besides you should have seen him with her, he paid her no attention."

"We don't know what happened to him, maybe he just wasn't feeling himself. He has been gone for a century! We don't know what he has been through during that time."

Joshua had managed to shove me to the side while stalking towards Damien, before bunching his shirt into his fist and holding him, ready to fight. "Do you dare defy our princess, your own very target that you're sworn to protect?" Damien's expression fell to the ground in thought before looking back to me.

"No, you're right, we've found her already, but it doesn't explain as to why she's releasing so much light, her powers, and her dreams about Eric. That means she's at least a level 9, but how could she have been uncharted for so long?"

Joshua released him, remaining silent for a second before he also turned back to look at me. "Eric could be one of them as well, maybe they are in on it together."

Now it was Damien that was angry, "Don't be absurd Joshua, you know Eric's purpose is the purest amongst us along with the princess. He is propheized."

"I don't know Damien, there is something different about him, but who knows, she may just be a lowly peasant Oracle. She said she doesn't remember much of her dreams anyways, and you know how Oracles can sympathize and tap into the princess's powers at certain times. She isn't very good at that either."

I snapped my head to the side hearing light footsteps from the doorway. My heart battered heavily inside my chest as I laid my eyes on Eric once again for the night. My breath was taken away as it always has been every single time I saw him. He was the very part that half of my soul was missing, and it was aching to have him back.

"Eric," I whispered lightly in fear that he would just disappear again.

His eyes pooled into mine for a moment before he flickered them to the rest of my body, as if he was drinking me in. I felt my cheeks redden at his gaze, but I was quickly saved by Damien.

"Eric!" He yelled, before running to him, and pulling him into a hug. He pulled back suddenly, grasping his arms and shaking him a bit, "Where have you been man?"

Damien treated him as he never have left, meanwhile Joshua was hesitant, and kept one hand planted on the top of my shoulder. I could see that he wasn't going to stop treating me as some lowly demon just because Eric protected me.

Eric took notice of this, and waved Damien off gently before looking at me again, "It's okay Joshua, you were right, she's just a lowly oracle. She ranks just about a 3."
