"I really don't understand why you're wasting your time with girly junk. You still look like shit even with all those layers of makeup on your face."

Rolling my eyes, I pick up my right false lash and apply a small amount of glue. "Jack I thought we talked about this..." I stopped talking mid-sentence, trying to concentrate on not poking my eyeball out.

"Quit talking about yourself like that. It isn't very nice, and it makes you look more of a loser than you already are." I can see Jack cringing in the mirror, and I laugh.

"I wanna die, Mollypop."

"I know you're genuinely a whiny, annoying person, but why you gotta be so extra?" I ask. My makeup was now complete. I stood back observing my masterpiece. Time for my outfit.

"You do realize that because he invited his new friend, there will be less food for us?"

"Is that really what you wanna worry about right now?" he shrugged.

"It's not just Oliver's fault. You invited Sophia."

I took my robe off, revealing my bra and underwear.

"Molly!!!" I can hear Jack whining. "Do you have to change in front of me?" I tossed my pillow at his face, before taking my gray long sleeve crop-top and dark blue ripped jeans from my dresser.

"Do you have to watch me get dressed?" I stuck my tongue out at him, zipping up my jeans. Jack covered his eyes with the pillow. "That wasn't necessary, you know." "It's called a throw pillow. What do you expect?"

I look over and see him peaking at me, from behind the pillow, and I smirk.

"Tom." Jack suddenly realizes I noticed, and he drops onto to my bed, falling flat on his face.

Why is Jack being weirder than usual? Is he actually nervous about Sophia coming over? How cute. Kind of... Sophia is still a lesbian, and I don't know when Jack will accept that. I briefly take a moment to think about what I can say to ease his nerves.

"You should stop fussing and focus on the bigger picture; You're going to be stuffing your face  with food alongside Sophia Lillis. How many people get that opportunity? Remember what Wyatt said?"

He grinned, "She doesn't usually accept invites to places, and she doesn't usually like people in general."

"Awwwww. You're so adorable when you're nervous."

It was Jack's turn to throw the pillow at my face. "Watch it, my makeup!" "Again, you look shitty either way."

Jack and I make our way downstairs to see Oli and the rest of his friends sitting on the couch.

"What happened to the new guy?" Jack asked, a little bit of hope in his voice, probably because he wants more food for himself. Oliver turned around, and looked at him.

"Why do you sound so excited? Is he your date tonight?" His friends laughed at his sarcastic joke and I rolled my eyes. "No, his date is Sophia, is she here yet?" "

"Yeah, she's here."

"Where? Since when? How long has she been here?" Jack eagerly bombarded my brother with questions. "Chill out dude. She's in the kitchen with our moms. She's helping set up since somebody was too busy being a prissy to help out." He shot daggers in my direction.

"Gotta blast-" Jack turned on his heels, heading toward the kitchen, before my brother shot up from his seat and grabbed him by the arm. Jack was pulled aside without any effort. "You realize Sophia Lillis is like gay or something, right?" Oliver asked eyeballing Jack. I laugh. Hard. "What is it with you and Molly having to remind me like every five seconds? You guys are conspiring against me, aren't you?"

"No, Jack. I just don't want my little brother getting hurt." Even though Oliver found Jack annoying at times, he still considered him family. He's always had a soft spot for him.

"I can handle myself, alright?!"

"Urgh-hm." The quiet sound of somebody clearing their throat could be heard from behind us. We all turn around to see Sophia standing in between the living room and the kitchen. "Dinner is almost ready...Hi Jack. Molly." I smile and hug her, just being friendly. After all, this is my house and I was raised to treat my guests with respect. Except for Jack. He's here all the time, so he practically lives here.

"Hey Soph. I can call you Soph right? Thanks for helping my mom with preparing everything. I kinda got carried away." I say twirling. She smiled sweetly, "Sure...Molls? It's alright don't worry. Thanks for having me over." The room briefly went quiet and it was kinda awkward.

"Are you okay, Jack? Is it too hot in here for ya?" I look over to Jack and see his face is red. I try my best to conceal my laugh, but it's no use.

My mom places the back of her hand on his forehead causing his face to grow crimson. "Mom, I didn't see you come out from the kitchen." I say. She has this habit of sneaking up behind people and sometimes unintentionally scaring them.

"Yeah, well. I'm right here-" "Hey mom!" My brother shouts from the couch, even though it's like ten centimeters away from where we are currently standing. "What, Oliver?" My mom looks annoyed.

"I don't think that's why Jack's face is red," He smirks. He looks over to Sophia, and winks at her before turning back around in his seat.

"Oliver!!!" I take my fluffy panda slippers off and throw each one individually at his head before tackling him from the couch.

As Oliver and I playfully wrestle with each other, I hear the doorbell ring. "I got it! Jack's mom shouts in a sing song voice, as she leaves the kitchen to open the front door.

"Hello~!" I can hear Angela, Jack's mom, greet the stranger at the door. We all stare into the hallway, hoping to get a glimpse of whoever was at the door. A tall guy with massive dark curly locks and big eyes walks in and smiles at me.... or at my brother. I turn around to see my brother getting up off of the floor, and making his way over to the guy.

"Nick, wassup bro. We're over here."

So that was Nick. Why does he look oddly familiar? Have we met before?
