After what turned out to be months of searching, all to no avail, Jace was found by Levy and Erza. They told the girl about Natsu and how he was looking for his father who, like her mother disappeared a few months ago. At first, she was unsure about following them back to this strange place, but with the promise of something hot to eat, since it was the middle of November, Jace quickly went with the two girls.

She met Natsu, who quickly challenged her to a fight to see which dragon was stronger, Igneel or Aurora? She of course accepted and they fought, even though they didn't know her name, some of the guild members cheered for her rather than Natsu. "New girl! New girl!" They chanted, one of them being a boy with nothing but his underwear on and the others being Erza and Levy.

After about an hour of fighting the battle ended in a draw, with both tiny dragon slayers on the ground unconscious. "That was hilarious!" The almost naked boy laughed. "She's tinier than Natsu, But she still handed it to him!" He was now holding his stomach as Erza carried Jace and Natsu to the guilds infirmary to bandage them up. "I still can't believe we tied." Natsu pouted as he wrapped his head with a bandage. "You had a dragon too right?" He asked, getting up in the quiet girls face. "Yeah, her name was Aurora, she taught me celestial dragon slaying magic." Jace smiled to herself at the memory. "Did she disappear a few months ago?!" He yelled, causing her to jump. "Yeah, when I fell asleep she was there, but when I woke up she was gone." Jace started to cry.

Natsu threw his arm around her shoulders and smiled. "If you join Fairy Tail we can look for our dragons together!" He exclaimed as he grinned at her. She wiped the remaining tears from the corners of her eyes and nodded. Natsu took her hand and lead her to Master Makorov's office, where she received her light blue guild mark on her right shoulder. "Welcome to Fairy Tail!" Everyone cheered. "I promise you we'll find our dragons!" Natsu cheered and high fived the brunette. "Yeah!" She exclaimed, and for the first time in months, she finally had hope again.
