Pt 2 Day One: Lucy Vs Flare!

"Now that the game is over, we move onto the one on one matches before we wrap up day one!" The announcer shook his fist violently as he yelled into the microphone. "This guy is gonna make my ears bleed." Jace winced as she rubbed the side of her head to try to soothe her ringing ear, Natsu nodded in agreement as he did the same to his own head, not that it helped either of them much.

"Let's kick things off with Raven Tail's Flare Corona and Fairy Tail team A's Lucy Heartfilia!" The announcer screamed. "Me?!" Lucy exclaimed as she was directed onto the field as her team was being directed off it. "Since we moved everyone off the field, feel free to let lose and give it your all!" Mato cheered as the two girls took their places.

"She's got a deadly look on her face." Pantherlily noted as he watched the field. "Come on Luce! Wipe the floor with that creepy chick!" Natsu cheered, causing Jace to giggle before adding in her own cheer. "You got this Lucy!" Jace yelled while waving over the barrier, then taking a seat on the small rock wall.

"Let the battle begin!" Mato yelled before quickly running off the field. Lucy kicked things off by summoning Taurus, who swung his ax at Flare, who dodged quickly. "One of the zodiac spirits!" the announcer exclaimed. "Open gate of the scorpion! Scorpio!" Lucy brought out another spirit, which suprised Bisca. "Two spirits at once?!" The green haired sniper exclaimed in awe.

Scorpio then used sand buster on Flare, whose red hair unraveled from its braids as it ignited with bright red flames. "She uses fire?!" Natsu looked astonished at the first move made by the red head as she blocked the on-slot of sand. Taurus then used his ax to swing sand even harder at the flaming haired mage. Everyone in the audience had to block their eyes before sand got in them, yet for some it didn't help as the sand got in their eyes.

Everyone was impressed with not only Lucy being able to open two gates at once, but also with her combination attack as well, saying that her past self isn't even comparable to her power now. "Great job you two!" Lucy cheered as she sent her spirits back to the celestial world. Flare was sent flying through the air from the attack from Taurus, making the red head extremely angry. "Blondie!" Flare screamed before her hair stretched out toward the celestial mage before forming into a red wolf. "Hair dog, Wolf fang!" Flare called out the name of the attack as it got closer to Lucy. Jace's breath hitched in her throat as Lucy called for Cancer at the last possible second.

Cancer quickly cut the hair off, causing the wolf to disappear and Flare to cry out in disbelief that her hair had been cut. "Nice one Cancer!" Lucy cheered as the spirit went back to the celestial world. Flare screamed as her hair dug into the ground and attacked Lucy's feet, picking the blonde up and dragging her along the ground before throwing her on the ground once more. "My hair does exactly what I want it to." Flare laughed as Lucy slowly slid her Fleuve d'Etoile off of her belt and ignited it as it wrapped around Flare's ankle. The two were thrown in the air and were being spun around by each other, the sight making a few people dizzy. The raven then set her hair on fire while it was wrapped around Lucy's ankle, causing the celestial mage to hiss in pain as her boot was melted away.

The two were thrown away from each other as the announcer gasped in shock. Flare creepily smiled at Lucy's smoking boots while said blonde tried not to cry out in pain. "It's hot." Lucy mumbled as she slowly stood. "Aw did I burn your little piggies?" Flare laughed hysterically. She was silenced by the sight of Lucy taking the smoldering boots off while adding a small "Aw man, I really liked these boots!" causing Jace to laugh a little. All of the sudden Flare screamed as she drilled her hair into the ground below her feet, but no visible attack came, Lucy looked around as Flare pointed toward the Fairy Tail guild stand. Jace watched closely as the two girls stood there, wondering why Lucy wasn't attacking the red head.
