How The Fairy Met The Tiger (Rogue Cheney x OC)

A Day to remember

As Jace lied in the bed she was assigned the day prior she thought back to the days events, making her thoughts run wild as she did so.

After Lucy's match and having to hold Natsu back from seeing the blonde naked, the rest of the one on one matches kicked off with a bang. It was Ren Akatsuki of Blue Pegasus vs Arania Webb of Mermaid Heel, the two were going back and forth with both words and magic attacks. Jenny cheered for Ren before calling out Sherry, his fiance from Lamia Scale. Jace chuckled while Ren put on his bad boy persona as he denied being engaged to Sherry. "We just happen to be stuck with each other is all!" He yelled, getting a "You're mean!" from the hot pink haired Lamia Scale mage. "It's annoying how you're always sticking to my side, but when you're not around I can't think straight." Ren blushed from the sudden confession as Sherry once again held her face in her hands and blushed herself.

Jace found the couple cute of course, she felt proud of them for being able to make their relationship work despite being in different guilds, of course making the celestial dragon slayer a little jealous since she'd never been in a relationship before and didn't really know how they worked. "You can worry about your own love life later, focus on the fights."  Jace scolded herself before turning her attention back to the arena, just in time for Ren to declare that he couldn't look lame in front of her as he got into a stance.

Arania charged her own magic attack as Ren called out a bright strong orb of light. "Aerial Phose!" he called, getting a direct hit and ending the fight. "Up next the third match of day one! Warcry of Quatro Cerberus vs Orga Nanagear of Sabertooth!" The announcer screeched into the mic. The crowd lost their minds at the sight of the tall green haired man, yet he remained unbothered as he was cheered for. Jace turned her head to look at the Sabertooth balcony just in time to see Rogue get up and walk away. "Something is up with that guy." Jace thought to herself once more before Natsu grabbed her arm in excitement, tearing her attention away from their rival's balcony and back onto the field.

Rogue walked though the corridors of the arena, wanting to get time away from the yelling of the crowd for a few minutes. "I'm only interested in you... Gajeel." The shadow dragon slayer thought to himself before the image of a brunette turning away from him this morning played though his head. "I'm curious as to what type of dragon slayer you are, Jace." Rogue thought as cheers were heard outside once again.

The gong was soon struck, signaling the start of the match. Jace stared intently at the arena as Warcry started bawling his eyes out, completely ignoring the laughter his magic earned from the crowd, all of the brunette's attention was on Orga. "The more I cry, the stronger I get!" Warcry cried (get it?) as Orga slowly reached his arm out to attack. As soon as the thunder and lightning shook the stadium Jace's  breath hitched in her throat, she quickly bit her tongue to keep herself from screaming out of sheer terror.

Luna looked over to the balcony that held the Fairy Tail A participants, since Pantherlily was just as terrified by thunder as Jace was, the exceed made sure to check on her partner. When her eyes landed on Jace she immediately noticed that the celestial dragon slayer was shaking as she held herself tightly, the sight of this made Luna want to rush over and comfort her partner, however she couldn't since it would be unwise to draw attention to a potential weakness that could be used against the celestial dragon slayer. Thankfully the one magic attack was all it took to defeat Warcry and win Sabertooth the match. "As expected of the mighty Sabertooth! That brings Sabertooth to eight points!" The announcer screeched once again, causing Jace to growl in anger. 

All of the sudden Orga turned back around and demanded the mic from Mato, everyone waiting in anticipation for what Orga had to say... Except he didn't SAY anything, he, uh sang instead. "The strongest, the strongest, number one! We're the leader, Sabertooth!" He sang very off key, making it difficult for Jace to wonder who was better, Gajeel of Orga as she held her ears in pain at the sound of his high notes.

"All that's left now is Fairy Tail B and Lamia Scale, right?" "Ah yes , two guilds who were once equal in power, lets see which one comes out on top!" "Right! I'll announce the competitors." The announcers finally didn't scream as they talked among themselves. "We've got Mystogan of Fairy Tail B versus Jura Neekis of Lamia Scale!" Once the competitors were announced and took the field the fight begun. After quite awhile of fighting and back and forth the fight ended with Jellal losing because of him randomly falling on the floor and writhing in pain while holding his mouth in pain. "You see the glowing pick band on his wrist right?" Erza asked Jace, who actually hadn't noticed until it was pointed out by the red head. "Meredy..." Jace sighed as she rubbed her head, turning her head back to the arena just in time to see Jellal lose the match.

"Zero points still..." Jace muttered to herself quietly as she messed with the bottom of her shirt. "WE GOT THIS!" She randomly screamed, startling Natsu and Elfman before she walked away to meet Luna in front of the stadium. The celestial dragon slayer kept her head down as she thought to herself with her hand on her chin, analyzing her own spells in her head and which ones that would work best against the competitors in the one on one matches. "Then I'd hit him with a celestial dragon iron fist!" Jace yelled a little too loudly as she bumped into someone in the hallway she was walking though. "I'm sorry!" She quickly apologized, realizing that it was just Sting as she turned on her heels and walked away. "So you're a celestial dragon slayer, now I'm even more excited to see you fight in the dragon slayer match." Sting laughed while searching for a head of messy black hair.

Jace sighed in relief as her thoughts stopped running wild and her eyelids got heavy, just as she started dozing off a loud snore was heard, snapping Jace out of her drowsy state and into an annoyed one. "I'm gonna kill him." she thought before getting up and smacking Natsu's head to knock him out without snoring. "Much better." Jace sighed once more before falling back on her bed and falling asleep before her head even hit the pillow.

Sorry this chapter took awhile, but on the bright side I'm almost done with summer school!
