The Twin Dragons

The twin dragons stared at the dragon slayers from FairyTail. "You!" The blonde looked amazed. "Natsu Dragneel!" The black haired one exclaimed. "Cats?!" Happy screamed at the other two exceeds while Luna looked just as shocked. "What's with these dumb looking cats?" The maroon exceed asked the other one, who was wearing a pink frog suit. "Dumb!" The other exceed agreed. "Who are you?" Jace asked the two standing in front of her. "Does that girl not know about the twin dragons of SaberTooth, Sting, and Rogue?!" A random bystander answered for the 'twin dragons'. "So you're both dragon slayers?!" Natsu exclaimed in shock.

"We are true dragon slayers." Rogue stated while looking uninterested in the pink haired man in front of him, his gaze shifted to the chestnut-haired female a little ways away from him. "Jace Frey, another dragon slayer, though we've never seen you in action before." Rogue spoke loud enough for everyone around them to hear, however only Sting responded. "So this is the infamous Star Shooter herself." He paused. "I thought you'd be taller." He smirked at the angry female who his idol was currently holding back.

"Let me at him! I'll make him unrecognizable!" Jace shouted in anger, first at Natsu, then at Sting. "You know I used to look up to you Natsu, then I heard that you first generation dragon slayers couldn't defeat a dragon, Acnologia was it?" Sting smirked at the two. "First generation? What are you talking about?" Luna asked, but was then called dumb for not knowing by Lector.

"Allow me to explain." The maroon exceed walked toward the group of Fairy Tail Mages. "Natsu and the rest that were taught by dragons are known as 'the first generation'." Lector paused to move on. "You're guilds Laxus and Oracion Seis Cobra are known as 'second generation' who use dragon slaying magic through the dragon lacrama embedded in their body." Lector took a breath before continuing. "As for Sting and Rogue, like you two they were raised by dragons but they also have a dragon lacrama implanted in their bodies, making them the hybrid 'third generation'!" Lector finished his explanation with a dramatic yell as to brag about his friend being the third generation. "In other words the strongest dragon slayers!" Lector sighed as Natsu reiterated the whole 'strongest dragon slayers' thing. "There's a world of difference in ability between the first generation and the third generation, so there's really no point in explaining." He sighed at Natsu.

"Did your dragons disappear in the year 777x?!" Natsu asked. "In a way, yes." Sting cryptically stated with a dead stare. "I won't sugarcoat it, in order to become true dragon slayers we killed them with our bare hands." His finished sentence made Natsu, Jace, and even Lucy's blood run cold. "You killed your own parents?!" Natsu looked furious as they began to walk away. "If we do fight in the grand magic games, I'll show you the true power that can defeat dragons." Sting waved as they walked away. "Let's go, I'm not interested in the older generation," Rogue said to Sting over his shoulder as they both walked away.

"And that's where you were all evening?" Erza asked as Natsu and Happy yelled at the sky that they would defeat their newfound rivals. "It would seem Wendy is late too." Erza noted. Just as everyone got up to go out and search for the sky dragon slayer, The clock struck midnight and horns were heard. "Everyone get ready for the preliminary round! The sky labyrinth!" The pumpkin-headed announcer exclaimed.

"What about Wendy?!" Jace exclaimed before Lisanna calmed her down by telling her that she and Happy would go searching while they competed, and before Jace knew it, Elfman took off with the rest of FairyTail into the sky labyrinth. "I'll help find Wendy!" Jace shouted at the team before running off with Lisanna and Happy.
