How The Fairy Met The Tiger (Rogue Cheney x OC)

Day Two Part 2

"And now onto the much-anticipated battle portion of today!"  Chapati cheered. "In the first match is Blacksnake of Raven Tail, a new guild that's currently the front-runner versus Lamia Scale's Toby Horhorta!" He excitedly announced, screeching into the mic. "It's a confrontation between snake and dog! Which will win?!" Chapati screeched once more, kicking off the sound of the gong. "Hey, guys! Did the match start?" Lucy yelled as she and Jace ran back to the balcony, making it just in time. "It's about to start." Elfman turned his head quickly to the two. "It's that dog - like guy from Lyon's guild," Gray added before he could say who the opponent was Erza cut in. "The opponent is from Raven Tail." Once the redhead had said this, Lucy turned her head toward Raven's balcony and only getting a glare from Flare, the other redhead referring to Lucy as "Blondie" instead.

Both Jace and Lucy had noticed that Flare was covered in bruises as the flaming haired mage somewhat cowered after pointing at Lucy with Jace unable to hear what was said between the members of Raven Tail, Jace then directed her attention back to the arena when Lucy didn't look away. The gong sounded again, prompting Toby to unsheathe his poison claws, "Super Paralysis Claw Mega Mega Jellyfish!" Toby screamed as he came at Blacksnake with intense speed, however, Blacksnake was able to dodge every swing that was made by the Lamia Scale mage before disappearing into thin air. "W-What?!" Toby exclaimed, yelling at the cloud of dust. All of the sudden "Sand Rebellion!" was heard in a hiss-like voice as Toby was sent flying across the field before Blacksnake reappeared, having formed from the sand. "So it's mimic magic?" Jace placed her finger to her chin, trying to remember where she had read about it and what it's properties were. "Have you heard of it before?" Lucy asked quickly, clearly fascinated. "I have a couple of old spell books that Aurora had me study as a kid, inside were various types of magic and their explanations, a few came along with documented resources that could help defeat a user of those magics." Jace smiled at the shock that Elfman and Lucy both had.

"Is my magic in there?!" Elfman asked, quite terrified at the thought of Jace knowing how to beat him. "Who knows~" Jace winked before turning her attention back to the arena. Toby howled before staring at his opponent. "You're strong." He stated the obvious, prompting Blacksnake to admit that Toby was strong too. "Blacksnake's a cool name!" Toby continued, "It's not actually my name." Blacksnake looked extremely annoyed at this point, "IT'S NOT YOUR REAL NAME!?" Toby screeched, getting a "That annoys you?" in response before running and swiping at Blacksnake. "FINE, IF I WIN YOU HAVE TO TELL ME YOUR REAL NAME!" He screeched once more. Apparently, the two competitors made a bet from what Jace could hear, laughing when Toby claimed to tell a secret about himself if Blacksnake wins.

"It seems that our lovely competitors have made some sort of weird bet." Chapati laughed while Jason screamed "COOL!!!!" In response. "I guarantee others will make bets now," Jace spoke to herself. Toby continued to swipe at Blacksnake, the raven managing to dodge every single one of the swipes as if they were nothing, causing dust to fly up and create a smoke screen type of effect that hid the contestants from the crowd for a short while before it cleared, revealing a beaten Toby. "Looks like Blacksnake has scored another win for Raven Tail!" Chapati cheered once again, making the Raven Tail fans cheer loudly. "Impressive," Erza said, prompting Gray to agree with her but add his own two cents. "I get the feeling he was holding back." Lucy nodded quickly before also adding to the conversation. "Even without the dirty tricks, they've got strong people on their team."

"That brings Raven Tail up to 36." Chapati started. "And Lamia Scale with 20 points." Yajima finished with Jason adding in a COOL to top things off. Long story short Toby's secret was that he lost his sock that was around his neck, prompting Blacksnake to remind him that it was around his neck, causing a heartfelt reunion before the mimic mage tore the sock to complete shreds, ending the fight.

Up next was Bacchus Vs someone from Fairy Tail team A. "Us?" Erza asked, genuinely confused as to who it might be. "What do we do if they announce Natsu?!" Lucy exclaimed, Gray, replying with a quick "I'll slap him awake." to which Jace hit him lightly. "Motion sickness isn't as minor as you think it is!" Jace scolded. "Elfman!" The take-over mage jumped at the sound of his name as his sisters watched in shock. "Make us proud!" Erza cheered, giving a gentle punch to his arm. 

Once Elfman reached the arena Bacchus lied on the floor of the arena. "Good Luck, Fairy Tail!" Chapati exclaimed as Elfman stared at his opponent who was still laying on the ground. The concerned whispers of the crowd did not go unheard but were ignored so the celestial dragon slayer could focus on the fight that hadn't started yet.  "Hey, how about you and me make a bet like those last guys?"  Bacchus suggested before continuing. "Both your sisters are pretty tasty looking, so what do say?" Elfman remained quiet with a scowl on his face, before shaking with rage beginning a speech. "There are some things a man can't overlook, Hound Dog." The take-over mage growled. "Then we have a deal?" The drunkard asked with a smug face.

Elfman tried as hard as he could, but he just couldn't land a blow on Bacchus. At this point, the take-over mage had to take a knee before he fell. Jace growled at the sound of Bacchus' voice, he was talking about Mira and Lisanna. "Why did the fight between you two end in a draw?" Lucy asked Erza, getting a head shake as a response. "The hardest part is yet to come." Was all the Re-Quip mage said Elfman quickly transformed into Were-Tiger form before running and attacking his opponent, but once again he was dodged before getting hit once more and being unable to defend himself.

 Erza then explained that Bacchus' magic is within his palms and that the secret of his magic is mastery of a martial art called Cleaving Hook Palm. "The stance he's been using is most common when delivering precise palm strikes, becoming even more powerful when drunk." Erza finished. Again and again, Elfman tried to land a hit, only to be blocked and struck every single time. Elfman was knocked to the ground, his tiger soul form fading as he laid there. "Come on Elfman!" Jace thought to herself in an effort to keep herself from biting her nails off out of anxiety when Elfman's transformation completely wore off.

"His magic power isn't going to last much longer!" Lucy realized as Elfman stood once more. "He can do this." Erza began, "He just has to figure out a strategy and stick with it." She finished. "If I win, you have to name your guild "Quatro Puppy" for the duration of the games," Elfman smirked, causing team A to chuckle. Bacchus sighed as he picked up the bottle he had left on the ground earlier and taking a big swig of its contents. "Here we go," Jace muttered, green eyes locked on the take-over mage. Elfman started to transform, only to get hit as he was mid-transformation.  "How did that feel?" Bacchus drunkenly asked before directing his eyes toward his arm coverings, which started to crumble off of his arms. 

"Was Bacchus damaged?!" Chapati exclaimed as the dust cleared, revealing Elfman's lizard soul. The rough scales being the culprit of the damage done to Bacchus. "No way..." Lucy whispered. Elfman took blow after blow, Bacchus slowly chipping away his own armor and damaging his hands before the drunk mage fell to his knees, Elfman following close behind after his transformation ended. "Elfman right?" Bacchus asked before slowly standing up and screaming with his guild. "WILD!" They cried. Jace's intense glare fell into a look of vexation as she watched the field. "Come on Elfman." Jace pleaded under her breath. Just as suddenly Bacchus fell over completely, leaving the take-over mage on his hands and knees, and as the winner of this match. Jace hugged Gray in excitement as Chapati announced Fairy Tail A getting 10 points, giving them 12 points total. "Love Rival......" Jace heard, causing her to let go of Gray quickly, Elfman quickly let out a battle cry as a means to signal the comeback of Fairy Tail.
