Chapter 18

I finally managed to see what could be our destination, if my Banshee abilities to feel the dead are right and since we are heading towards the estate, I am right! The guy next to me took out his phone and called someone and spoke in French and although I learned a little French, I was not good enough to know what he said but a huge gate opened when he got of the phone and we entered and I stared because it was beautiful! This estate stood in the woods so the houses and roads etc was hidden and surrounded by forest! Normally estates just chop most trees etc to make it more open but this was gorgeous! I saw an antelope and oh my, a wolf pack was hunting it but the sound of the car made the antelope bolt and although I was fine with the idea that it was food for the wolves and I love wolves, I can't be anything but happy that the antelope will survive for now... I was enjoying the view so much that I didn't even notice when we stopped until I saw Craven in front of my window and I jumped back and bummed into the other vampire who just granted "sorry I was just-" how rude! I was just apologizing when he just got out with out a word or a look! I looked to my open door and Craven and smilled while getting out and tried to forget how rude he was but my mind was abuzz whether he was rude because I was rude and ignored him or if I hurt him when I bumped into him, I mean he did grant, or is it because he thinks I'm human? "Hi Craven, it's nice to see you again and thank you for this" I smilled and blushed at him and he gave a little nod "of course, let them take your things, you will be staying in an apartment close to school with other students, some have their own place but we encourage students to stay in these apartments" I nod and follow behind him to a double story face brick house while the truck leaves "this is my home and office, we have somethings to discuss than I will take you to your apartment" I just nodded at him again and carried on following him upstairs to his office "ok so because you starting at this school so late, you will have to catch up before the exams that starts in two months, I have had the principle pick out the best student in each subject to help you till then" I frown because all the exam papers are supposed to be the same - oh man this is not a government school so they set their own papers and subjects "what subjects can I choose?" I just gave me an amused smile "all subject here are compulsory" he sighed "ok that was school, now your home, students who stay on their own are supervised, you will meet the couple when we go to your apartment and last thing, the students will think you are human until your hellhound is free so you be careful. Let us go" I took everything in "should I keep what I am a secret?" He looked at me in surprise "that is up to you dear but why keep it a secret? It is who you are" I smilled with that thought, I have been bullied most of my life at the pack because they thought I was human and I thought the same would happen here but he said I don't need to hide so I won't be... damn it! There is a reason behind moms warning though and she was scared to be caught by Craven... am I trusting him too easily? I sigh because this just makes everything more complicated. I need to keep a down low before I make any drastic decision, I need to know why mom left and my dad and why she locked my hellhound, I need to investigate a lot before I get comfortable and so that means that I have to listen to moms warning to keep my identity a secret until I know I'm safe. I am a teenager but I grew up too fast and that will work to my advantage now but I need to learn how to fight... *gasp* at home there used to be an underground fight club, maybe there is one here too, I just need to find it and persuade someone to teach me and they will if I make a deal that they can take up to fifty percent of whatever winnings when I fight in the ring, unlike them, I don't need the money and if i do, I'll just get a job but first, I need to find an underground fighter, it can't be too hard.
