Chapter 3- Surprising Visitors

“So.. I see you’re hitting it off quite well with Niall.” Dani said once we got in the car. 

I blushed; I knew I could tell Dani anything. “Yeah, he’s such a sweetie, something feels good when I’m with him, like I know we’ve only known each other for a few hours, but I feel like we instantly connected. He’s so easy to talk to. We’re actually hanging out tomorrow during spare and probably after school.” 

“Oh really? Well that’s nice! Do you think he’s the one that you’ve been waiting for?” Dani giggled while saying it. 

“Oh shush!” I slapped her playfully, laughing. 

“Hey, hey! I’m the driver here; you’re not allowed to hit me.” 

“Yeah whatever, anyways, I showed him our spot..” I was praying Dani wouldn’t get mad. I closed my eyes ready to hear her yell, after a few seconds I heard nothing, I opened my eyes and looked over at her. “um .. are you mad?” I asked.

She just kept her eyes on the road and then finally said something, “no, I’m not mad Sam, how can I be mad? I showed Nick the place, and I mean it’s not like it was going to be hidden forever. Liam on the other hand .. he might be mad, but I doubt it. Considering he’s getting along great with Niall. He actually couldn’t shut up about him all through fourth.” She laughed remembering. 

“Really? Liam likes him? Well that’s nice to hear! I kind of think he’s going to be a new member to our group.” 

Dani nodded, “that reminds me, I think we might have a new one, because in fourth me and Liam met a guy named Louis Tomlinson, he’s new and he’s from England, he and his friend Harry Styles came down because their parents wanted to move to America and Louis and Harry’s dad work together and they got an agreement from their work they could move down here, I know it sounds complicated, I was confused too. But Oh my god, Louis is so funny; I can’t wait for you to meet him. He said him and Harry are going to eat with us tomorrow.” 

“Oh really? That’s great! We’re going to have a bigger group now.” I laughed.

“I know right? We don’t look like losers anymore!” 

“Kay first of all Dani, you were never a loser, second of all you’re pretty much popular since you were in the dance club, unlike me, who only has two friends.” 

“Oh my god, here we go again. Really Sam? You are nowhere close to even being a loser. A lot of people like you, and before you say they don’t they do. And before you say you’re not pretty, you’re gorgeous. And before you disagree shut up. Just thought I should save myself arguing.” 

I just stared at her, god she knew me too well. I was so thankful to have Dani as my best friend. I honestly think I would be lost without her. I loved her so much, she was more like a sister to me. We reached my house finally, she parked the car over by the curb in front of my house, like usual. “You going to come in?” 

She smirked, “obviously, since when have I not came in when I drive you home? Your family feeds me!” 

I laughed, “oh yeah for sure, or in other words you go to the food cabinet and steal our food.”

She just glared at me and skipped over to the door. No one was home, so it was just us two. My house felt so small compared to hers, but she was richer. I wasn’t rich, my house was just ordinary, unlike Dani’s family who owned their own clothing store and had their own business. Our parents were really good friends though. So my house was really like her house, she came over so much. I saw her walk over to the kitchen and get her usual snack; popcorn, chips, cookies, milk, a can of pop. God I sometimes thought she was going to over eat. She saw me watching her and blushed, “shut up, you know I eat a lot of food!”
