Chapter 11- Please Be Okay..

Harry’s P.O.V

I was in the car still shaken up from that call; It was 1 hour later since the phone call. I was sitting on the stairs next to Louis. Danielle and Liam were standing beside us; Dani was trying to get a hold of Sam. “So what exactly happened?” Louis asked for the hundredth time.

“Really, Louis? I just told you. She called me saying Niall was drunk and then she was panicking and then she hung up… I’m really worried about her.”

“Maybe we should go look for them.” Liam said.

“Yeah I agree with Liam.” Danielle said, she looked as if she was going to cry. “What if something happened to them?” 

“Babe, don’t worry, I bet nothing happened to them.” Liam said, comforting her.

“Guys, I’m leaving to look for her right now, I can’t take waiting anymore. I need to make sure she’s okay.” I said.

Just as I was about to get up and leave, a police officer was coming up the side walk. We all froze, Zayn came outside, he looked at us. “What’s going on?” 

We shrugged, “Hello kids, I’m Officer Walker. I just need to talk to the person in charge of this house.”

We all looked at Zayn, he raised his hand. “Um, I guess that’s me…” 

“We just had an accident down the street, and they looked like were coming back from a party. One of them appeared to be drunk, and the other was sober. We just need to investigate, so I’d appreciate it if you could clear the house out right now.”

We all froze, Dani looked like she was about to burst out crying and Louis and Liam just looked like they were in shock. “Um, Officer, do you know their names?” I asked nervous.

“I’m sorry son, that’s confidential.” 

“No, you don’t understand, it might’ve been my girlfriend… She called me saying she was driving with someone drunk and before I could find out more she hung up, please just tell me. We haven’t been able to get in contact with her.” My voice was shaking; I was so scared to hear the answer.

The officer looked at me, and stepped closer to me, “all we know is her name was Sam, because of the necklace she was wearing. We’re still investigating.” He walked away and left me there in shock. 

I heard Dani scream and fall to the ground crying, I saw Liam wrap his arms around her and cry with her. I felt Louis touch me, I didn’t know what to do, I just stood there in shock still, and then out of nowhere, I felt tears coming out of my eyes. Louis wrapped his arms around me, he knew I needed my best friend. I sat on the step and let all my tears pour out. Soon enough Louis was crying with me. I looked over at Danielle who was still crying her heart out to Liam, I felt bad for them. I needed to go see her; I knew they needed to too. I tried to control my crying now; I had to stay strong till I knew if she was in bad condition. I knew she’d want me to stay strong till I knew. “Guys, I have to go see her now. Are you going to go home or are any of you coming with me?”

Dani looked up at me with tear stained cheeks, “I’m coming with you. I need to know how badly it is…”

“Are you sure babe?” Liam said still crying.

“I have too. I always promised Sam that no matter what happens I’d be there for her.” She said.

We all got up and walked to my car, we got in. It was silence the rest of the way to the hospital except for when someone would start crying a little bit. We all tried to hold ourselves together, we got to the hospital and I parked and ran inside. I ran to the desk in the Emergency room, “Excuse me, is Sam Waterson here?”

The nurse looked up at me, “um, yes she is, but she’s in rough condition right now. So you can’t go see her.” 

“What about Niall Horan?” 

“He’s in room 220, he’s awake, but he’s not that bad. I’ll let you know more about Sam when I find out more.” She looked at me kindly.

“Thanks…”  I said. Danielle, Louis, and Liam came up behind me; I just shook my head, “they said she’s in bad condition… so we can’t see her right now. But we can see Niall. I’m going, are you joining me?” They nodded, just as we were going to the room, we heard someone call Danielle. We turned to see it was Sam’s parents, she went over to them, and nodded giving us permission to go. I went to the room, and knocked on the door. I saw Niall look up at us, his face was all bruised, and his leg was in a cast. I walked in. “Niall, what the fuck happened?” I asked mad. 

“Hey, calm down man. Cut him some slack.” I heard Louis say.

“Why? He made Sam get in that car with him.” I was raging mad.

“Harry… I’m sorry, I don’t even remember what happened, I’m not even fully sober right now, please don’t hate me. Sam’s fine.”

“Fine?!” I yelled. “You think Sam is fine? She’s not. She’s in bad condition because of the stupid accident she had with you.”

Niall flinched when I said because of him. I was getting angrier just by looking at him, I felt Liam pull me back, “you need to cool off Harry, go out and wait with Danielle, being mad at Niall won’t fix anything.” 

I nodded knowing Liam was right. I left the room and went to sit next to Danielle. She was sitting beside Sam’s father, he was crying. Sam’s mom wasn't there she was probably talking to one of the doctors I thought. Dani looked up at me and started tearing up again, I put my arms around her, and we hugged. “It’s okay Dani, it’s okay…” we both let our tears out, we held onto each other for what felt like forever. I felt a tap on my shoulder, it was Liam. I let go of Dani and let Liam take over. I sat next to Sam’s father. “Sir, I’m so sorry. I didn’t know this would happen.” 

He looked at me, “it’s okay Harry, I know you didn’t do anything.” I felt sorry for him, it had to be hard for him. I put my head back and leaned against the wall. I fell asleep, I was tired.

“Family or friends of Sam Waterson?” I heard someone say. I immediately woke up. I saw a doctor standing by the hallway looking around. Me, Danielle, and Mr. Waterson all stood up. The doctor seemed surprised, she walked over to us. “Hello, I’m Doctor Chevier, Sam’s condition is serious. She’s in a coma right now.” I heard Danielle catch her breath, “but she should be awake soon, until then you guys can see her, but it would be best if you just waited till she woke up. But she’s in room 292” She smiled and walked away.

Liam wrapped his arms around Danielle and hugged her, “it’s okay babe, I know our little Sammy is going to be okay…” I could tell Liam was struggling not to cry. I knew he cared for Sam a lot; she was like his best girlfriend. I was struggling not cry, I cared for Sam a lot too, she made me smile, I needed her to wake up… “Please wake up Sam… please.” I whispered.
