Two months had passed. I haven't got a good night sleep for weeks. Though, Carter called me thrice a week, it's not enough to mend my broken heart.
"Moe, didn't he promised to be back here on your graduation?" I weakly nodded. "Then, stop sulking would you? It's contagious."
"Sorry." Ashley was pestering me this past few days. "Do you wanna go shopping?" I thought for a moment. "I think, I can't. I have to look for a job. I just can't depend on Mrs. Grant for all the time."
"Why? Mom treat you like her own daughter. She'll provide all your needs." Alexander cut off. "Alexander, I can't take money from your mom. You haven't been a troublemaker." I whispered.
"Is that so? I'll cause trouble then?" I gasped. "Please don't. I rather look for a job than to make up for your mess."
My classes are done. Earlier than I thought. And I have the rest of the day to look for a job.
"Okay! Time to do what I have to do."
A car came to a stop, "Hi, little sister."
"Evan..." My eyes sharply looked at him. "What are you doing here?" He chuckled.
"I've heard my dear sister is looking for a job. And I'm here to offer you something."
"What makes you think I'll take that?" Evan got off his car and take my hands. "Because you need it. Let's just forget and move on. You lose your mom, I lose my father. Because of you, my dad can't be responsible for me. Remember, I'm the first child. Moe, we're equal."
"We' re not equal! You had a wonderful family and I haven't. Dad had never been a father to me!" I walked away. I got hissed by people I bumped with. The sky started getting dark and rain starts to pour.
"You'll get sick if you let the rain soak you." I looked up and saw Alexander. "Get in." I stared at him.
"Moe! Get in the car!"
"No.. I want to be alone. Please." Alexander carried me into his car.
"I said, I wanna be alone." His emotion never changed, brows furrowed, piercing blue eyes, his lips is red as cherry.
“Carter..."
My body moved on it's own. My lips touched his. I felt him stiffened but he kissed back.
"Moe, I have to take you home." I let myself drifted into a nice sleep.
I dreamed of myself being in a Ball with a guy in an elegant mask. “who are you?“ I asked and the guy smiled at me. “Finally, you came." Eyes that are familiar to me. Broad shoulder and firmed muscles. "You look lovely tonight, princess." I blushed.
His face inched from me and my eyes started opening up.
