The silence throughout our dinner was disturbing. Louisa and Phil are both silent. They glanced at each other once every minute. I know my presence brought Louisa to feel uneasy. She's very lovely and there's no question to that.
"Sis, you should try this crabs they taste awesome." Evan placed some crabs in my plate and I took a small piece.
"It's indeed awesome." Evan is trying to ease the awkward atmosphere surrounding us. As much as I hate to admit it, we looked like a happy family sharing a meal together.
It must've been nice to have this kind of family. Evan is a nice person, I would've liked him if he weren't my brother. Caring and sweet. Just like my Carter.
Our dinner is getting more and more interesting when Phil started talking about his life experience when he was a stud. He started boasting about him being a hunk and all the girls starts swooning when he passed by. Louisa slapped his arm whilst laughing. It made me laughed too. He's full of humor and it's really fun having him around.
"Are you tired? Do you want me to drive you home?"
"No, I still wanna go for a walk."
Evan guided me to his car. We left his parents to talk about their own business. We came to a stop and I was bewildered he took me to a centre park and in the middle was a glowing fountain. Very beautiful.
A lot of couple are around the area. And it made me insecure. "Moe, I can be your pretended boyfriend." He grinned.
"Don't be stupid, Evan. You're my—"
"I liked you before I find out about us being a half brother and cousins. When we are at Green's Resort I tried to hit on you. Come on Moe, I wouldn't do anything that will ruin our relationship."
"Fine." What's there to lose? Carter is missing in action. No text or even a phone call from him.
We walked. Talked. laughed. All things that we do when we dated. "I bought you something."
"Didn't you bought me all I wanted already?" He nodded. "But this is special. I bought them while I was in Europe, in Rome actually." He pulled out a wooden box and inside was a silver metal bracelet with a nice charms.
"I bought it to give it to someone I will cherished and that is you, Moe. My little sister."
He put it in my wrist. "Thank you so much, Evan!!! You have no idea how happy I am to have you right now. " I gave him a bear hug.
He took me home and tonight is my best night ever. Spending time with my long lost brother and having a complete family. It was the best.
Evan's sweetness is the best cure to my broken heart.
