Open minds chapter 2

Yo yo yo it's ya girl Mello. Just wanted to say whoever said reading this say something in the comments about what you think about open minds so far it would mean a lot. So basically last chapter Lucy was unpacking her and her fathers things in their new house and now she's going to the school to get her schedule.

LUCYS POV
"Lucy Heartfilia?" A mans voice asked
"Yes. Here" I said standing up and walking over to the door as two boys walked out.
"Take a seat." He said gesturing to two chairs on the opposite side from his desk. I sat down and got straight to the point
"I'm here to pick up my schedule and any other additional things." I said looking at him
"Yes yes we are very excited to have you here. I'm principal Makarov and the office assistant you met out there was Mirajane. It's a pleasure to meet you Lucy." He said extending his hand for me to shake. I shook his hand and smiled.
"It's nice to meet you too." I said.
"Now down to business. You'll have to fill out an application form but since there's no adult you'll have to take it home and have your guardian look over it and sign a few things." He said looking through a stack of papers. I panicked a little. Do I tell him the situation? Will he understand? Probably not might not let me go to school here. Oh no who could I get to pretend to be my guardian?
"Lucy? You alright dear?" He asked me I quickly snapped out of my thoughts.
"Yes yes sorry." I said focusing my attention back on him.
"Right here you go I'll let you fill this out if you have any questions just ask. I have to go check on some student matters I'll be back." He said leaving me alone in his office.
I sighed and started filling out the form.

Parent/Guardian
Parent/Guardian contact info
In case of emergencies
Medical information
Allergies
You know basic question. I continued filling out the page and left most of the parent/guardian things blank. Would he really understand? I heard someone open the door and it was the office assistant Mira Jane.
"Hi just checking on you. Is everything going okay any questions?" She could tell I did.
She came in and shut the door and took the seat by me. She gave me that look. That look like I know somethings up but you're afraid to say anything but really it's okay to say somethings look. I sighed and debated telling her or not.
"Sweetie if there's something going on you can tell me. I have a knack for sensing these things. If it's a private matter I won't tell anyone not even principal Makarov." She said putting her hand on my knee.
"Well...uh.. You see." I stumbled. Do I just blurt it out and hope she gets it?
"I moved here with my dad and he's not home much and if he is he's drunk or working as usual. He rarely home and sometimes brings women home. He pretends like I don't exist and gives me twenty Bucks every two weeks for my own needs and food and it's stressful. I know I'll have to find a job right away....so it's hard for him to be apart of this..." I admitted. I was so ashamed. What if she to me to leave? I didn't tell her everything but still.
"Lucy you know you could have said something. I'll just cross these out and we can sort them out later schools starts tomorrow I'm sure you just want to be ready." She said giving me s hug. It was surprising.
"You won't kick me out?" I asked
"Of course not family issues or not the school would never." She said. "It sounds like principal Makarov is going to be busy for a while, so why don't I help you with the next part. Your classes this year. To see where you're at let's pull up your transcript.

3rd period Money Management
4th period Gym
5th period US history
6th period French 2
7th period Science
"This all looks great!" She exclaimed. "You kept a 3.5 GPA and took some diverse and hard courses." She sounded very excited.
"From the looks of it we can give you AP English 2, Art 3, Algebra 2, french 3,and science 2. But before that lets see the only classes you are required to take your junior year are a Math class an Englsih class and history. Here is a list of various classes you can take this year. And if you're willing to you can take a zero period again." She went on explaining things. "If you bring this back tomorrow bright and early before 7:10 we can get your schedule and your files all set up." She said smiling.
"Thank you so much I'm surprised you liked my transcript So much." I said smiling.
"Of course it's great. Would you like a tour of the school or do you think you could figure it out. All the info is in the booklet I gave you." She said
" I think I'll be okay" I said
"Alright well we are done here. My contact info is in the booklet too if you have any question. Have a good rest of your afternoon." She said smiling as I left the office and made my way home.

Later that night I was sitting in my room filling out my papers when I heard the front door shut and some muffled talking. I opened my door and walking over to the side of the stairs and saw dad and some floosie making out so I went back to my room and pretended like I wasn't there. I climbed out my window and sat to stare at the stars
"Mom come back"
