Percy

We had one key witness, our neighbor. My parents had been sitting behind me with my sister, dad, and Tyson. Tyson and Dad had no idea as to why they were here. The hopes were that this can get done in one day.

I just... I didn't know how to tell my dad what had happened, much less Tyson. I couldn't imagine doing this when I was 13, against Gabe. Hell no, especially with barely knowing my dad. I was currently waiting on my lawyer. I don't know who he was, he was judge appointed.

As long as he doesn't point a finger at me, it won't get me in trouble, though.

I felt a hand on my shoulder, and noticed that it was my mom. She had been wearing a nice, navy blue halter top dress. Kind of old fashioned, but it still suited her well. It was one of the only gifts that Gabe ever got her after they got married. It's an almost scary thought that, had he still been alive, Gabe would've been here, too.

But then again, had he been alive, he could've completely changed. He was sober a few times in the past. The main one I remembered was 9/11. That was why he became a full fledged alcoholic.

That's when his sister, brother in law, and three nieces and nephews died. They were his entire life, we always joked that he liked them more than us.

Is it weird that I miss him sometimes? I don't miss being hit, being touched, or constantly having to be his slave. But I miss the days before that, when we we're a family. We'd go to Montauk for an entire week in the summer over the Fourth and just have fun. His family usually came for a day, and I got to play with my cousins.

I haven't talked to my cousin's in years...

I missed them, too.

"Hey," my mom had taken note of the nerves I still had, "just relax. This is going to fly by before you know it."

I let off a nervous smile. "Thanks, Mom."

Calming myself down, my lawyer showed up and formally introduced himself to me. After assuring me that he studied this case, and felt as if this could be an easy win for us, I relaxed a bit more.

Of course, Annabeth and her attorney had already known each other. Fredrick has quite the deal of money; for him to have a lawyer is nothing.

Annabeth had been a simple grey dress that ran just a little too short for what a lot of people find okay. She was covered if she stood up straight. But move beyond that, and she had spandex on. Her hair was up in a pony, and she was wearing makeup, too.

Athena, wearing her signature grey toga with the owl pin, looked pissed off with the situation at hand. The goddess had many hopes for her daughter, and who knows if she'll ever see her after this. Even I don't know the punishment for rape in the Olympian courts. In the mortal world, of course, it was a felony.

We have a single witness for this account, and that was our neighbor. He was in his later 20s, and where his bedroom lied was right behind my room. With how much I was crying and how loud Annabeth had been yelling at me and moaning, he figured it out.

As campers we're allowed into the camp, the vast majority of the council had been the first ones allowed in. Outside of the jury, deputy, and judge, that is. They came in through the chamber, though. For the jury, there wasn't a single face that I knew. Chiron claimed that the jury consisted of older Demigods that lived in New York, aside a few exceptions that had been involved with gods in one way or another.
