Every day for the past 5 months I sat by this bed, I thought darkly to myself.

"Hey baby." I kissed Belles head. I sat down on my chair and took her hand.

"I have officially sold the company." I said as I turned the TV on and saw that as the headline on the news.

"Our house is finished too. I know I said you could design it but, I wanted to surprise you." I squeezed Belles hand.

"Please wake up." I cried. I looked at my fiancé. She was no longer on a breathing tube which was a positive sign, but Belle still hasn't woken up.

A nurse walked in. "Good morning Mr Geller." She said as she checked Belles IV drip.

"Gail."

Gail pulled the blanket down to Belles hips and lifted her gown to check on her bandages.

"Oh."

It was enough to make me look. "Has she got an infection?" I asked. "Has something gone wrong?"

Gail didn't answer me but checked on the now scabbed scars from Belles surgery and pressed down on Belles stomach. She arched an eyebrow as she did it again, then again in a different spot.

She quickly covered Belles stomach and rushed out.

" Gail? What's wrong with her?" I yelled after her, but all I got was silence.

I sat down again. "Belle, you'll be happy to know that Tobias and Lucas are official. I always knew Tobias was gay, but he would never admit it till now."

Another silent hour passed as my stomach growled. I skipped breakfast to get the paperwork signed to sell my company so I could rush back here.

" I'm going to get something to eat. I'll be straight back. " I stood and left, heading to the Cafe.

I purchased a toasted ham sandwich and as I ate it, I made my way back to the now very familiar room.

I was a tad cranky having to wait 40 minutes in line then another 10 for a toastie, but my mood disappeared once I ate.

I was greeted by several people in Belles room.

"Mr Geller, we are going to take Belle for a few tests and scans." One doctor said as another was doing an ultrasound on Belle. I watched as the sonar went from her stomach to ribs back to her stomach to the other side of her ribs.

I nodded as they cleaned the fluid of Belle and wheeled her out.

Knowing from experience that Belle won't return till late, I headed home to pack. I stared at Belles stuff in the garage. I don't know what to do with it all.

I set the task in the lounge room. I wanted to pack to keep my mind of the depressed state I was in.

I spent the night on the couch, just like every other night since the accident.

I woke to my phone buzzing. I jumped and answered it.
"Hello? Speaking. Right now?" I hung up.
I bounced into action. The hospital needed me there right now.

Oh God, what happened through the night?

I got to the hospital and raced to Belles room. Did she have a bad turn? Did she wake? The doctor said it was a good sign she was off the breathing machines, but that was a month ago.

I ran to her room, letting my imagination run too. Is it good news? Oh God, what if it's bad news?

I barged into the room. Nothing was different. My heart sank.
