We stared at each other for what felt like an eternity, just like in romance movies.
His eyes bored into mine, like they were searching for something.
I sat up and looked away.
Behind me, Sean sat up too.
I felt his warm breath on my ear.
He whispered only one word into my ear, "Thanks".
It sent delicious shivers down my spine and like a magnet I felt drawn to meet his eyes.
They were darker than normal, intense and so beautiful. I wanted to drown in them. But then an image of Sean and Rachel laughing popped into my head.
I looked away and sighed sadly.
"You're welcome".
He doesn't love me, I thought sadly. I suddenly had a craving for pizza.
With cheese, pepperoni, tomatoes, mushrooms and chicken.
I practically ran out of the room and into the kitchen. I placed my order.
Sean didn't come out. He was probably asleep. I didn't care.
The door bell rang.
When I opened it, I saw the pizza guy holding my extra large pizza.
"Hi!Your pizza!" he handed it me,smiling revealing a dimple on his left cheek.
"Thanks". I paid him. I was about to shut the door but I stopped to look at him.
He was extremely cute, my age, probably a bit younger;tall and broad shouldered with wavy dark hair, a straight nose, and long lashes framing his brown and blue eyes.
I looked at him. He looked at me too.
Those eyes.
I had seen them before but where?
I tried to remember. In school? At the park? No, no. None of those places. But I was sure we'd met before. I just couldn't figure out where.
It was déjà vu.
I blinked, trying to force out a memory, but I couldn't.
"Well, I um... I gotta um go...uh deliver more pizza.. Bye"
He walked awkwardly away.
He also felt he knew me.
I shut the door and sat on the couch. I bit into my pizza, chewing thoughtfully.
I'm sure I've met him before, I thought.
But where?
There's only one way to find out.
I need to eat more pizza!
