Since escaping from the Shredder's lair, the hours-upon-days-upon-weeks grew immeasurably for the terrapin warriors, their father, their friends, and your own mother.

With each turtles' turns of watching you, they would sacrifice everything in the world in exchange for you relieving yourself from your coma. They could barely be able to eat, sleep, train, or even go out on regular nightly patrols across the city of New York; without the lingering, creepy and scary thought of you not being able to wake up ever again crossing their minds to no end.

Whenever they did get their chance to watch over you, they tried to make the most of it by talking to you. So even if you couldn't be able to answer them appropriately due to your coma, it made each of your terrapin warrior comrades have some sort of closure during such a difficult time period. They would tell you about whatever's been going on lately to keep you up to date. Even though they tried to avoid mentioning of the Foot or Kraang, due to what it's cost everyone around you, and you especially.

They would sometimes find it funny that whenever they tried having a conversation with you over the course of each of their individual shifts, of how they would imagine your voice your sound now in silent responses. They only had your toddler voice from your little black box as reference, and just by judging that with your age now with *cough cough* puberty *cough cough*, it would still remain a mystery to leave them all in wondering awe.

Eventually, one day, things were deemed to change. It was just this one day, when the Hamatos realized that almost a month has gone by since the day you attempted to eliminate Shredder and his Foot Clan. They also seemed to realize that based on you telling them of your tragic backstory, that it was also your birthday. Your (Your Age or Y/A) to be exact.(A/N: Actually, I was going to say 15, but I didn't want to offend anyone in any way. But you know, whatever *shrugs and continues on with story*)

You still weren't up yet, but like stated previously, things were deemed to change. Upon knowing of how his sons were now being unmotivated to continue on with their lives while you were in your coma, Master Splinter decided that he would pay you a visit. Now of course he never got the chance to see you sooner, due to his dons already doing so in shifts and actually getting to know your mother more, but now here was his golden opportunity.

He made his way towards his son's lab, where he found his third son Donatello asleep by the side of your cot. He seemed all completely exhausted and worked to the bone with watching over you, creating a potential cure for when you were possibly able to wake up, and also finally figuring out more of your choker contraption device courtesy of Baxter Stockman.

Master Splinter then moved closer towards you so that he was also next to Donnie. After placing a blanket over his brilliant-minded son, he turned back towards you and placed a single hand so that it stroked your head in the midst of your consciousness. Then this was what he said to you;

"My dear Norio Kimiko, I just wanted to say that on behalf of myself and my entire family, that we truly miss you. My sons have been keeping you company since they rescued you from Oroku Saki, hoping that you would be able to come back to us. We all deeply care for you (Y/N), and it's just a shame that you might not be with us any longer, because of what's happened to you." Splinter could be able to feel tears forming in his eyes upon looking at your peaceful-looking face, and the finished off his statement, "And in case I don't see you tomorrow, I'd like to wish you a happy birthday, a good-bye and good luck with finding your family once again."

Master Splinter removed his hand from your head slowly and began to turn away sorrowfully from the sound of your heart monitor going slower and slower each day, and once again towards his private chamber near the dojo. But only until his sharp ninja master ears suddenly heard the sounds of shifting around behind him. He turned around and with a grateful smile, he looked into your opened eyes once you felt more comfortable.
