Serenity's P.O.V

Donovan never did tell me where we were going as we zipped through forest upon forest of trees. I was quite enjoying the view until we passed the Spring barrier to the Winter. The trees were barren, no sign of life at all. The once green grass was brown now and it made me frown. Winter was death for the world. Why were we here? I felt as if we were being watched by something, or someone.

"Donovan?"

"I feel it too." I nodded and felt fear rise within me as pulled up to an abandoned cottage. "Come on, stay close to me," he said, pulling me to his side as we walked to the door. His eyes scanned everywhere as a young woman opened the door. She was tall and slender with bright brown eyes and long, beautiful, purple hair. She wore an enchantress cloak and when seeing Donovan, she bowed.

"Alpha Donovan," she said, smiling. Her voice was silk and strong; she waved us in with her long fingers and perfectly manicured nails. "What brings you here?" She closes and locks the door, making my fear increase.

"She's back, Meredith."

Meredith's eyes widened and her eyes turned red with anger. She took the nearest object and threw it against the wall. "F*UCK!" I flinched and hid behind Donovan. She took deep breaths to calm herself and her eyes eventually returned to the warm brown. "When?"

"October 31st. My Mate, Serenity," Donovan said, gesturing to me, "Saw her in Bianca's form that night." Meredith's eyes found mine and I felt as though I was lost...in a different world....

The night swirled around me as I fought to keep going into the forest. I felt myself tiring as I ran, panting as I barely made it over the huge tree trunk. My hair was in my face curtesy of the strong wind that was blowing all around me. I grabbed onto the body of a nearby tree to steady myself before pushing off and running again. The cold air I breathed in burned my lungs and throat as my panting increased; I was weakening. I felt a tug on the bottom of my cloak and I looked back to see that it was caught in a thorn bush. I tried to untangle it, cutting up my hands and arms, only to rip it in urgency. Thunder rumbled and lightening cracked, illuminating the sky and striking fear into my heart. A hooded figure appeared in front of me and I felt myself take a defensive stance. The mysterious woman removed her hood and smirked at me. She looked similar to Meredith with long, black hair and sinister, golden eyes.

"Hello, sister," she smiled, her voice scratchy and low. A few cuts were visible on her face, outlining her cheekbones.

"Milena, don't make me do something I'll regret," I said to her. I immediately recognized my voice as Meredith's.

She laughed and rolled her eyes. "Let's not fight, Mere." I clenched my fist and felt fire in my veins.

"No, let's."

We charged at each other.

I gasped and felt a wave nausea hit me and I fell against Donovan, sliding to the floor of the cottage. "Serenity! Are you alright?" I put my hand on my forehead and nodded.

"I think so." I looked up at Meredith who seemed as if she was frightened.

"How did you do that?" She frowned and hesitantly reached out to me with her hand to help me up.

"What did I do? What was I seeing? It felt as if I was there!" Meredith swallowed and guided us to the couch where we sat down.

"That was the battle before I imprisoned my sister, Milena."

"What did she do?"

"What did she do? She killed three entire packs for fun is what she did and she threatened to kill more!"

"Why?"

"She believes that the enchanted are the superior race that should only be allowed to live so she was going to wipe out the werewolves forever. I banned with the werewolves to defeat her, but she was so powerful; no one could get a scratch on her, but me. I ran out in the woods, knowing she would follow me; I tried to get as far away from the pack as I could as to not harm anyone. They say we fought for three weeks, non-stop, until I imprisoned her. I didn't have the guts to kill her-she's my sister, but I know now that I should have. She has brought endless death and turmoil to the world, but I just couldn't and only an enchanted can kill another enchanted."

"Oh."

"I see it in your eyes, Luna."

"See what?"

"You are an enchanted too."

"That isn't possible. I have a wolf, Nadia."

"I never said you were full enchanted, but somewhere in your family there was one and now you are too."

"So I guess a really good question would be: what exactly is an enchanted?"

She smiled and nodded. "A very good question. We are sorceresses in a way...just more powerful depending on focus and control."

"What can you do?"

"More than you would think?"

"What can I do?"

"That is what we're about find out."
