Armaan's POV.

"Are you serious?" Qibriyah was baffled on hearing that none of us knew how to offer salah.

I shrugged awkwardly. "Erm..I remember a few steps from my childhood but...I never thought of teaching these kids, I mean, why would they need to learn at such young age?"

She shook her head giving a glance to the kids who were peering curiously our way.

"If they don't learn it now, they'll never bother to learn later on. Teaching Islam to kids at a tender age is quite beneficial because when they become mature, they find the lifestyle of the trendy generation better." She explained.

"But-" I sighed. "What do I do? How do I teach them about something unknown to me?"

"I am here for a reason. These kids are born Muslims. How great is that? And how will it seem if they don't know a thing about their religion. You did your best. I know you taught the girls the benefits of covering themselves. Hiba is and exceptional case. It's her choice. She'll take her time." I remembered thw twins mentioning this.

"So.. Will you...help them...You know..."

"Of course" she exclaimed, eyes shining with excitement. "I'd be more than glad. I'll tell them everything I have learned! If you want I'll teach you too-"

"No. Uh..I'll just watch you guys...I need time to think over it all" she huffed at my response.

"Okay. So let's start with the basics." She gestured all the kids over. They all huddled around the couch we were sitting on. It was a cute sight to see all of them perked with curiosity.

"Do you know any one of the five pillars of Islam?"

"Uh..salah?" Maria looked unsure.

"Yes. Correct. Salah is a way of communicating with Allah SWT. We have salah of 5 times a day compulsory on us. Walsh cannot be offered without doing ablution.
I'll teach you the steps of ablution after this."

"Salah is the second pillar. The first one is Shahadah or declaration of faith. Do you guys believe that Allah is our creator and our God- the Almighty? And our prophet Muhammad SAW? "

Everyone nodded their heads. I had taught them that though.

"I taught them the Shahadah." I smiled.

"Really?" She smiled through her eyes.

"Yeah" Kareem grinned. "La ilaha illallah Muhammadur Rasoolullah SAW" Ayesha and Kareem said in unison.

"Mashallah" Qibriyah hugged them.

"So, the third pillar of Islam is Zakah or charity. How many of you like to give charity?"

Everyone raised their hands along with her and me.

"Mashallah. That is compulsory when you start earning. Till then you can give away your old stuff to the poor if you want to."

"Yeah Armaan took us to an orphanage last month." Zaid said.

"We gave the kids our old toys but Ayesha turned down last minute. She couldn't let go of her barbie and ken" Amir chuckled.

"Aww. It's okay. She's a kid." Qibriyah giggled.

"What's the fourth pillar?" Saad reminded her.

"Ah yeah, it is sawm or fasting. Have you ever fasted?" She stared at them while they shook their head.

"Okay. I promise we'll fast this Ramadan. It's just in a month." She assured them.

"Yay! Is it okay if we kids eat if we get too hungry?" Hafza asked.

"Of course. It's okay since your just little kids and fasting for the first time." I replied.

"The fifth pillar?" Basith asked.

"The fifth pillar is hajj. How wonderful will it feel to pray in the place where our beloved prophet lived his entire life?"

"Have you ever visited hajj?" Ayesha asked cutely.

"No I haven't but we all will soon, InshAllah."

I stared at her. She sure was something.

"Yeah and then you say Assalam Wa alaikum, turning your head to you right side. And same on the left side."

All the kids turned their heads and Maura copied their actions, swaying her head as she sat on my lap.

"Okay. That's all for today."

"Yeah. We have to prepare for you wedding too." Basith teased.

Qibriyah waved him off.

It was almost dinner time and we hadn't prepared it yet.

"Saad, I'll cook today" Maria offered

He scoffed. "More like burn the kitchen."

"What did Qibriyah tell about being rude?" Hiba scolded him.

He smiled sheepishly. "Sorry." He apologised to Maria.

"I'll make dinner" I said, standing up.

Basith licked his lips. "That means today's dinner will be delicioso." He spoke in an Spanish accent.
