Joe walked up to Hailey's house, nerves flowing through his body. Tonight was the night he was going to tell her how he felt about her, and he was incredibly nervous.

The hot pizza was in his hands, waiting to transfer the box over to Hailey's hands. He steadied it onto one hand, knocking on her door with the other.

She swung the door open, an immediate smile hitting her face when she saw the man standing in front of her. "Joe!" She exclaimed, taking the pizza from him. "You can go now."

"Hey, hey, hey! No way!" He laughed.

"I'm just kidding, you idiot," Hailey smiled, letting him in the house. "You up for Christmas movies?"

"Always," he nodded. They both sat on her white couch, Hailey beginning to eat the pizza.

Throughout the movie, she got closer to him, snuggling up to his side for warmth. He put his arm around her subconsciously, not even realizing what he was doing.

"Hey, Hailey?" He asked her, smiling down at her. She looked up at him, her eyes meeting his.

"Yeah?"

"Can I tell you something?" He asked, beginning to get nervous again.

"Of course," she nodded.

"We've known each other for a while, right? We've been hanging out all the time," he said. She nodded, and he continued. "I think — no, I know — I have feelings for you." Hailey sat up, taken back by his words. "I'm not just going to dance around it like I don't feel something for you. We're adults, and I had to tell you how I feel."

Hailey smiled, watching as Joe played with the hem of his shirt. "Well, you're in luck, Joe Keery, because I feel the same about you."

He looked up, excitement in his eyes. "Really?"

"Absolutely," she nodded. They both smiled, leaning in, eyes shutting slowly. Their lips touched, and they both felt the electricity coming from them.

"Wow," he said when they pulled back. "Can I just say, you're a really great kisser."

"I could say the same for you, babe," she laughed, kissing him again. She leaned against him once more, and their eyes focused back towards the TV.

Their hands intertwined as thoughts of being with each other danced through their heads.
