moana:
joe asked hails to move in with him

cinderella:
oh shit

jasmine:
precisely

jasmine:
i can't exactly tell him the reason for not wanting to move in. it'll hurt him.

jasmine:
i never told him about me and tom's full relationship, and it will kill him. especially because i hung out with tom recently.

moana:
i think you just need to tell him.

cinderella:
i agree. joe obviously loves you more than tom or even chris ever did.

moana:
that boy is head over heels in love with you.

jasmine:
i know, i know

moana:
do what you want, hailey, but don't let joe go.

jasmine:
i don't plan to

Hailey showed up and Joe's apartment just after her conversation with her best friends. She was determined to tell Joe the truth, even if it killed the both of them.

She knocked on his door, ready for it to swing open quickly. Unfortunately, there was no response. She knocked again, even adding a ring of the doorbell to get his attention; maybe he was asleep.

When she realized he wasn't going to come to the door, she sulked back to her car, sitting inside and wallowing in her own self-pity. Her head was buried in her hands, tears falling from her face, as a knock on her window caused her to lift her head up. She rolled down her window, meeting his gaze.

"Hey, princess," Joe said, a smile etched on his face. "Why're you crying?"

"I-I thought—" she cut herself off, not wanting him to think she was worried about their relationship.

"Hailey James Wesley, get out of the car," he said calmly, pushing his hair out of his face. Hailey stepped out, prepared to give him a long speech about how sorry she was. Joe didn't let her speak, though. His lips were on hers in an instant; two hearts were beating together as one once more.

"I'm sorry," she said when they pulled back. "I owe you an explanation."

"No, you don't," he smiled. "It's not my business. I understand that you don't want to move in, and I respect that. I love you, Hailey. I'll wait as long as you need."

Hailey replied with a kiss, a kiss that made both of their heads spin. Joe picked her up and spun her around, holding onto her for dear life. "Let's go inside," Hailey said, peppering kisses down his neck.

"As you wish," he said, connecting their lips once more.
